Lovely house in an ideal location
This is a lovely house in the small town of Voorburg. The hosts met us at the property and explained how things worked and handed over the keys. This is a beautiful and stylish family home and so had everything you could need. The hosts were very friendly, and promptly answered our texted questions, when we had forgotten things. There are two bedrooms in the house and one ensuite room in the wooden annex. Voorburg is a great place to stay, it has 20 or so restaurants or bars - all within a 10 minute walk of of the house , an Albert Heijn supermarket less than 10 minutes walk away. The house comes with its own parking space - which is great as we didnt have to worry about where we were going to park, and its also 5 minutes walk from Voorburg railway station. We used it as a base of visiting The Hague, Leiden, Delft, Rotterdam and Gouda - all great places to see , and more typically Dutch than Amsterdam, which is very touristy now. We would stay here again if we visited The Netherlands.
This house is very close to the motorway, but after the first night we hardly noticed it. Also be aware the stairs are high and steep, and would not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
