    We couldn't have been happier with our two days at Malalay. From our arrival to our departure the staff couldn't do enough to be helpful. Our room was simple but delightful. This place is not about amenities it is about location. It is literally beachfront paradise. The water is clean, the view over tho the further islands is stunning. The sand is soft, the trees are shady. Malalaly offers a reasonable menu of Thai and Western food. and drink. Don't expect haute cuisine on this more remote island at these prices. I enjoyed a cocktail - the Asian Martini was delightful in flavour and the bar attendant was lovely. The juices were fresh and exceptional (coming from someone with 11 years living in Asia, this means something) The pizzas were some of the best we had. the beachside massage is perfectly sited and totally relaxing. One tip only - it can get very hot at certain times of the year. There's not much to do during the day, particularly after you check out. So don't do what we did and extend to the 2:30 boat on your final day. Leave on the 11 am boat. It will be better for you.

    Really nice island, basic rooms for the money. Service typical Thai - hit and miss Beach lovely, we explored all bars and restaurants along the beach in 5 nights.
