goSTOPS Bir, Landing Site

The location is perfect,but the cleanliness and view from balcony is not got

Its in tibetan colony- the main market area and at a walkable distance from Landing site. So huge props for the location. The view from the terrace may not be the best, its okayish. The property itself is beautiful with lively ambience, good amenities. The bathroom was not cleaned daily. The Housekeeping staff & the people at the reception were helpful. Although on one of the nights- some travellers were creating a chaos, making noise, drinking , randomly entering/ exiting rooms which as a solo female traveller felt concerning & unsafe. The staff at the property should have handled the situation better and respected other travellers' resting time. Apart from that one night, the whole experience was too good.

I had a pleasant stay at the property. However, the 6 bed dorm rooms are really small and the food is all frozen that they just warm up and serve. Do not book your stay with the included food option. The 4 bed dorm is still fine and I would recommend it.

I was in Himachal Pradesh for a week, during which I stayed at goSTOPS Bir for two days. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The room was terribly dirty. There were spider webs in almost every corner, and the floor felt sandy and muddy. Whenever I walked around without slippers, I could literally feel the dirt beneath my feet. The bedsheets, pillow covers, and bed coverings looked brownish and unclean. There was hair scattered around the pillows, which was absolutely disgusting. The paint on the walls was peeling off, and whenever I touched them, white paint residue would stick to my skin. The washroom was even worse. It had insects crawling around and was full of spider webs and spiders in the corners. It was clearly not cleaned properly, and there was water leaking throughout the washroom. Another major inconvenience was the Wi-Fi connectivity. The property provided a username and password, but the connection was limited to just two devices. Since I was staying with a friend and we both had a mobile phone and a laptop, we needed to connect four devices in total. We were there to work, but because of this restriction, we couldn't even connect our mobile phones to the Wi-Fi. To make matters worse, even the Wi-Fi connection on the two permitted devices was not working properly. Mobile network connectivity in the rooms and the surrounding area was also poor, leaving us with very limited internet access. This was extremely inconvenient, especially since we needed a reliable internet connection to work. The combination of a restrictive device limit, unreliable Wi-Fi, and poor mobile network coverage made the experience even more disappointing. The only positive thing about this property is its location, as it is conveniently situated near the paragliding landing site and several cafés. Apart from that, I found more cons than pros in almost every aspect of my stay. I also stayed at another property, Dream Woods by Virasat-e-Bir, during my trip, and the difference was remarkable. It was cheaper than goSTOPS Bir, yet significantly better in every aspect, including the views, cleanliness, and service. At goSTOPS Bir, we paid around ₹3,700 per night for a room accommodating just two people, whereas at Dream Woods by Virasat-e-Bir, we paid only ₹3,000 per day and had a much better overall experience. Based on my experience at both properties, I would recommend considering Dream Woods by Virasat-e-Bir instead, as it offered much better value for money. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor hygiene, washroom maintenance issues, and inadequate internet connectivity made my two-day stay extremely unpleasant. A property like this should maintain basic standards of cleanliness and guest comfort, especially at the price it charges. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend goSTOPS Bir unless the management takes serious steps to improve its housekeeping, maintenance, and Wi-Fi facilities.
