    You need a room with affordable price and walking distance to the Pasupathinath temple, there it is. Dont complain much. Food, staff and comfort was not to complain at all

    Hotel shivshakar is one of the best hotel in Kathmandu , I visited here twice. They welcomed us very nicely. Everything is good at this hotel. Specially owner, Mr. Prajwol Shreshta. He is really a gentle guy.

    The best part of the hotel is the location which is 2 mins walk to the temple. The staff is good. It did not seem like we are in a hotel. 1. Food: The day we arrived we were informed that the dinner is only served till 8 PM hence we need to order fast. Later we understood they serve at a later time as well. The food is ok not great. 2. Facilities: The room we were assigned was not as per the photos. The room had a bed in a separate area with a rotating fan that did not rotate, and the direction of the fan was towards the floor instead of the bed. We were shifted to another room the 2nd day which had 2 beds side by side but had 1 fan that was not enough for the 2 beds. The tap was broken. 2nd night was horrible as the room was next to terrace which was allotted to some other guests who cooked food through the night. On complaining we were allowed to use AC on the 3rd night which helped improve the experience.
