R de Rural - Casa Rural de les Arnes

Julieta estuvo súper atenta en todo momento a lo que necesitábamos. La casa estaba muy bien equipada y hasta nos dejó leña y pastillas de encendido para la chimenea. Fue un gusto.

Las camas eran un pelín duras y los almohadones demasiado finos. Aunque ahí para gustos colores. Un mini trastero para guardar los esquís y botas hubiese estado de lujo, para no tener que dejarlos estorbando en zonas comunes.

Die Betten waren extrem schlecht - die Federn der Matratze drückten in den Rücken. Verwunderlich wo doch alles einen recht neuen Eindruck machte hat man gerade an den Betten gespart ?! Im Bad fehlte eine Ablagemöglichkeit - nur ein Unterschrank der mit dem Fön bereits voll war. Durch das sehr große Panoramafenster scheint im Sommer den ganzen Tag die Sonne und heitzt den Raum sehr auf. Die innenliegende Beschattung durch zweidrittel Gardinen und zwei Ventilatoren reichen bei weitem nicht aus.

Lage war ruhig im alten Dorfkern von Encamp. Das Haus ist ein altes uriges Haus mit moderner Innenausstattung. Die obere Etage ist gemütlich mit Küche, Essecke und Sofabereich. Der Blick auf die Berge und Kirche durch die große Glasfront ist herrlich und man konnte die Sonne lange genießen. Die untere Etage besitzt 2 Schlafzimmer und das Bad. Alles gemütlich und modern. Die Ausstattung ist detailreich und liebevoll. Die Lage war ruhig. Die kleine Sitzgelegenheit draußen kann man als Auszeit zum Kaffee trinken nutzen. Parkplatz war kostenfrei in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir kamen mit einem Familienauto und Fahrradanhänger bis zur Casa - es ist eng, aber machbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bars, Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Schlüsselübergabe und Anfahrtsplan waren optimal. Bei Fragen war uns die Vermieterin stets behilflich.

The host was very friendly, the house is great, but the listing completely oversells it. First, the photos have been strategically framed so that it is not obvious that the stay is not "in the middle of cow fields" (as the listing says) but rather at the boundary of the village, and right next to a building that hides half the mountain view. The house is surrounded by other building except on the west side, where indeed there is a cow field. There are also several building works and cranes ongoing; they may have started after the listing was drafted. The parking is said to be accessible for wheelchairs; whilst technically true, it is important to keep in mind that the parking is 150m away from the house. Between the parking and the house, you have several narrow streets going uphill, and then once at the house there are 1-2 steps between street level and the ground floor. Then all bedrooms are in the lower level via stairs only. The listing says there is a terrace and a garden; in practice, there is only a small space (4 m2?) in front of the house. There is a stove but no small wood starter was provided. To be clear, we did not have a bad stay, but the listing description set our expectations much much higher than what we found. The place is definitely overpriced.
