Very good, budget accommodation run by lovely people. Rosters are noisy and can be a problem, this is the same all over the Island- take ear plugs!

The first thing that hit me when I walked into the room was the smell—it felt like the space hadn’t been aired out in a very long time. I arrived late at night and was exhausted, but opening the balcony sliding doors wasn’t really an option due to the mosquitoes. With the recent increase in dengue cases in the Cook Islands, it didn’t feel safe to leave them open, especially without any mosquito screen.
The rooms themselves were quite spacious, but very poorly designed. There was some old kitchen equipment placed right next to a makeshift wardrobe—almost as if you were expected to cook beside your clothes. It felt like a cheap attempt to justify higher prices rather than a thoughtfully designed space. There also seemed to be little to no upkeep based on the overall condition of the room.
On top of that, the furnishings were very run down, and there was no air conditioning despite being in such a hot climate.
Overall, this stay felt overpriced for what was offered. You can find far better deals elsewhere that are much more comfortable—do yourself a favour and book somewhere else.
