An exceptional hotel - one of the nicest I have stayed in. It's in a large Victorian house and we felt like house-guests. Julie and Patrick go out of their way to make it to make it agreeable and intimate. It was unseasonally cold when we arrived, but we were greeted by warmth of the literal and metaphorical kind. The breakfasts were great: plenty of fresh fruit, and high-quality full Cornish fare. We had dinner there one evening and it was excellent. The bedroom was spacious and had a large balcony overlooking a beautifully maintained garden: the only problem was that the weather didn't allow us to make much use of it. The lounge was a most agreeable place to relax in and it has a great, well-stocked bar. It's fairly close to the station for mainline and Looe, but no noise from rail or road. Liskeard may not be everyone's first choice destination in Cornwall, but check this hotel out. It's fabulous.

Every detail from the decor to the hospitality felt so welcoming and attentive, which made our trip so wonderfully relaxing. Julie & Patrick were the perfect hosts, the stay couldn’t have been better!
