An apartment in a 17th century wine grower s house

Very clean studio with very good sized bathroom. The kitchen area is very well stocked with good quality crockery and pans etc. The lady owner gave a great introduction to the property. The location off the main pedestrian street was perfect. The studio was very clean and well maintained and the building as a whole is really sweet.

I could have deducted the score much further because the contact side of our booking was an utter shambles. I wanted to know about parking but the agency couldn't help. I emailed the owner (not 'caretaker' as Bellvilla incorrectly address her). No response. When we arrived we used both telephone numbers multiple times, no answer. I called Bellvilla, they said they would sort it, then no response from them either. When we arrived at the property, now massively concerned, there was no answer. Long story short - the owner doesn't reply to emails or answer calls, presumably from UK numbers. We went to a local hotel who called her for us. There is actually a small bell at the door (no signage) and the owner actually lives on the top floor, even if you register your arrival time use the bell. She stated she uses WhatsApp. We paid for parking on arrival (as at that point we had had zero confirmation of anything) then were able to get a private place through the owner for 3 EUR per day. Bellvilla send a ton of messages and invoices but ultimately are not helpful. You have to pay online separately for the tourist tax weeks in advance, on a different site, which I found unnecessarily complicated especially as booking.com stated the holiday was fully paid and as a rule not to use other sites... All in, VERY stressful pre holiday.

Es ist sehr zentral - nur 1 Min von der Hauptstraße entfernt - aber durch die Lage in der Seitenstraße nicht im touristischen Haupttrubel. Außerdem schnell vom zugehörigen Parkplatz zu erreichen. Besonders schön ist die Terrasse, auf die man sich sehr gut zurückziehen kann.

Ontbijt hebben wijzelf voor gezorgd, rustige locatie.

Eine sehr zentral gelegene Unterkunft in einer ruhigen Seitengasse der historischen Altstadt von Riquewihr. Die kleine Wohnung befand sich in einem umgebauten Stall des alten Winzerhauses, sehr urig und originell mit Liebe ausgestaltet. Man hat alles, was man braucht. Durch die dicken Mauern war das Raumklima auch bei großer Hitze sehr angenehm. Die enorme Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit der sympathischen Vermieterin Valerie sollte besonders hervorgehoben werden. Auch die Außenterasse hat uns gut gefallen. Man erreicht in wenigen Schritten die eindrucksvollen Tore der mittelalterlichen Stadtbefestigung und kann direkt in den Wald oder die Weinberge gelangen....
