Very nice stay, albeit that you get what you pay for!
The hotel is 'adults only' with a very nice spa, which was a nice place to relax after skiing. The food was also very good - both for breakfast and in the evening. (There was a set Christmas menu when we were there). Room was comfortable with a view over St. Anton.
There were, on a couple of occasions, a group of teenagers who just squeezed within the 'adults only' policy limit making a racket in the spa area without any parents in sight, which was a bit frustrating. Also odd moments of confusion about the -0 normally very good - shuttle service down to the lifts.

Absolutely sensation hotel, would return in a heart beat.
This hotel is flawless! This was single handedly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at for a ski trip. Facilities were amazing, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, breakfast was superb and it was really peaceful and relaxing. It is on the pricier side, but we felt it was worth the money.
My partner didn’t know that the sauna and steam room were nude only areas (swimming pool and salt room were not), which I think she would have preferred it not to be. However, that’s a European thing which more reserved Brits need to get used to, it didn’t bother me!

Expensive stay but you get what you pay for!
Breakfast was great, lovely selection. Evening meals were very nice and restaurant staff very friendly and attentive. Room was lovely with a great view from the balcony. Bathroom was small but the shower was really good. Fantastic hair dryer! Check in and reception staff very friendly and helpful with lift tickets and recommendations for ski hire etc. The hotel has ski lockers available at the Intersport right next to the main lifts which was a great. There is a minibus shuttle down and up from the slope which was great.
Breakfast buffet could run out at peak times but was quickly restocked. Our rate was expensive for bed and breakfast but everything was perfect so you get what you pay for!

Nice facilities, but contemptuous owners and an unacceptable welcome.
The hotel’s facilities are overall of a very good standard and the setting is pleasant. The spa is undoubtedly one of the hotel’s main highlights: it is spacious, well equipped, varied and generally high-end, with thoughtfully designed areas and a particularly relaxing atmosphere. Only the pool, despite being very beautiful, would benefit from being significantly warmer, especially in winter; this appears to be more a matter of management choice than an infrastructure issue, which is unfortunate given its potential. The staff are overall kind and willing, although very young, with a special mention to Barbara at reception, as well as to the restaurant team and the barman for their professionalism and friendliness, and to the housekeeping staff, who were discreet, efficient and did an excellent job.
Our stay was seriously undermined by the behaviour of the former owner (the father) and his wife, who, on numerous occasions, were insulting, mocking and openly contemptuous, speaking to us in an unacceptable manner and never offering any apology. We initially struggled to believe that such comments could come from staff, before realising that these individuals were in fact the owners themselves. During exchanges at the Gletscherblick Hotel, where the welcome was the complete opposite, we were told that the owning family of Hotel Alpuria is reportedly known for being particularly difficult and not very friendly, and that they also struggle to recruit staff, which would explain the very young age of many employees, some of whom do not speak German. It is rather ironic that several members of staff demonstrate far more professionalism than their own owners, who would likely benefit from being less present and taking inspiration from their teams; this is further compounded by an impersonal QR-code self check-in that feels inconsistent with the property’s stated standard, and once aware of who stands behind the establishment, it becomes difficult to financially support it, with genuine sympathy for the staff required to work for such people, even though I am usually inclined to support business owners and entrepreneurs; if you do decide to stay at this property, I sincerely hope you will be fortunate enough not to have to deal with them.

It was ok
Spa, pool and great staff in general.
Owner acts like she is not in hotel business. A simple occasional smile toward the guests could be usefull in her profession. Even if she doesnt mean it…

Not a 4 star experience and not to recommend for a wellness weekend
Breakfast and Food was very good and staff in the restaurant friendly. They picked us up at the train station for no extra costs as the hotel is up a hill. Rooms are small but good.
I have never slept in so uncomfortable beds. The mattress on both sides was super soft, so that it hurt my back and I almost could not walk any more in the morning. The regular reception staff was not as friendly as you are used to in Austrian hotels. When we arrived they were hiding behind the computer and did not pay attention or greeted, when we said hi until the teamlead stepped in. You had the feeling they wanted to hide and not talk to guests. The Spa area is very small and the promoted outdoor pool is only 1 sqm. Spa area was very crowded and noisy and sometimes no space available for sun beds. Even the indoor pool was quite small. 20 Euro as room service fee is way too much. They tried several times to charge us for something that we did not order like parking lot, even if we came by train, wine, etc. Internet in the room did rarely work. St. Anton in October is not the perfect place to be as almost all restaurants, cable cars, and stores are closed until December. Even more frustrating if the hotel and spa are not as promoted on their website.

nice place but please buy some lamps.
Breakfast was good. The room size was good. Although being forced to leave the room and travel two floors up to a communal coffee machine in the morning just to get a first coffee was not a ‘luxury experience’. Even three star places stretch to a bedroom coffee machine or a kettle.
The lighting! Utterly awful. Have they never heard of lamps? Only a main overhead light provided in the suite, which meant, in the evening, a choice between either semi darkness, with only the bedside led’s on; or the entire suite lit up like an operating theatre in the brightest coldest white. Awful. A choice of being blinded by the dark or the intense central light. Bathroom was the same. Only setting is every light on or off. Which together with the cheap white tiles made it not a gentle or restful space.

A really lovely place - but a few things you should know
Very quiet room, we slept with our window open. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Excellent restaurant, make sure you book as it was booked out both nights of our stay. The outdoor relax area near the pool was lovely, the sun beds sufficiently spaced out for a quiet rest.
The biggest let down was the sauna area, a mixed nude zone, which we understand is a cultural norm in Austria. However we found it unhygienic and really not conducive to relaxation, especially given that the area is small and was crowded. Unfortunately for us, this meant we did not use the facilities. The pool is quite small. The marketing photos are a bit misleading - the hotel is not 'hidden' This wasn’t an issue for us, but if you’re seeking a more secluded retreat, this hotel doesn’t fit the bill. The parking situation is a bit of a mess, with cars spread out over several parking areas. Access to your car is tricky as you need to get your keys and then find your car. There’s no in-room coffee machine or tea, only a shared tea and coffee station on level 3. The loud expresso machine there may disturb guests in nearby rooms.
