Beautiful mountainside location!

Apartment has a stunning view and is close to the high street with restaurants and a few shops, a small supermarket and some cable cars. Welcome card gives free access (plus other benefits) to village swimming pool which is also in a stunning hillside location. Modern furnishings in the property - which is very clean. Parking and Wi-Fi included. Rental agents were lovely and bi-lingual. Recycling area opposite apartment and a field in front of the property gives an unobstructed mountain view. Several useful items included e.g. hairdryer, toaster, fondue heaters, shaver plug in bathroom cupboard, plenty of patio chairs and a sun umbrella as full sun hits the terrace morning to mid afternoon. Small grassed area suitable for young kids to play on. Hillside location of village certainly means you get those leg muscles working when going for a walk! Cleaning equipment in kitchen. Apartment not too expensive given the price of other Swiss rentals in Berner Oberland. If you like military jet planes like me you will just be able to make them out high above you during some parts of the day as they practice their manoeuvres. Close to cities e.g. Interlaken and Thun as well as many Berner Oberland cable cars/landmarks.

We couldn't work the shared washing machine as it uses a token system, but I'm sure if we'd asked the rental agent would have come to assist. The washing machine token was on a shelf in the entrance and not in living room cupboard as stated in welcome pack so took a while to find. Kitchen is narrow and so only one person can cook, wash up etc and not much space to store your food when self catering. Combination oven took a while to get used to as we've not used one before. My daughter found the bunk beds in the small bedroom claustrophobic. Parking space is quite tight and you couldn't open the garage door from the inside. Finally I will state the obvoius, Switzerland is expensive! Eating out, shopping and the cable cars for example are more costly then other countries.

hübsche Ferienwohnung mit guter Lage

- sehr gut ausgestattet Küche - schöne Terrasse mit Bergblick - geräumige Wohnung - direkt im Zentrum, Supermarkt 5min Fußweg - netter Vermieter - Kamin :) - Parkplatz Garage

- Bett etwas hart für mein Geschmack - ein paar Zusatzdecken wären toll gewesen. Für abends auf der Terrasse sitzen - die Gardinen sind wirklich in die Jahre gekommen :) (nicht nachteilig aber sollte trotzdem erwähnt werden: Mülltrennanlage wenige Meter neben der Terrasse)
