The Mdina Heritage Boutique Hotel - By Luxury Villas International

Location was amazing! We had a balcony looking out toward the church that was wonderful. Air conditioning worked great. The rooms were smaller, but very thoughtfully situated so they actually fit a lot of things into a small space without it feeling cramped. They’ve thought of a lot of details to make your stay comfortable. The signs were playful and fun. Water station to refill water bottles was great. We happened to be there on a national holiday and the local festivals were amazing and a highlight of the trip. It was like an old fashioned county fair. Loved the horse races. I felt like we had the opportunity to dine and mingle with citizens and not just tourists at the festival.

A very small detail, but a better map at check in. We were a little turned around when we first got there, and walked the wrong way to Mdina, which then caused us to feel frustrated that the hotel wasn’t as close as advertised. In reality, it was very close and very convenient to everything. In fact, probably closer than advertised to things. The map that is handed out at check-in doesn’t have the hotel on it, and the person at check in was very kind and helpful, but probably assumed we knew which direction to start from and was vague with which general direction to head. It’s actually very close and extremely convenient!!!

We absolutely loved the location! Close to everything, feels cozy, it's beautifully decorated. The staff was very attentive and responded quickly to all our needs. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, everything was perfectly clean. The communication, check in and check out was very simple and smooth. I absolutely recommend this place.

Me personally I didn't like the smell in the room, it was a bit overpowering, but my friend didn't mind it at all so I guess it's a personal preference thing.

Location in Rabat, Mdina is in walking distance. Restaurants around are nice. Quiet area.

No air in the rooms, as the door/window looks directly into the hallway (the only source of oxygen for the several rooms in the hotel are two small square holes on the ceiling within this "inner yard", which is highly inadequate). Furthermore, you need to put double curtains both on the door and the small window if you want any privacy. Room no.4 is very small, the toilet and the bed area are divided with a glass panel. A few rooms are in the basement area, which is even worse regarding the position in the hotel.
