This place is spacious and cozy at the same time. The real life touches of the regular or previous occupants are great with some fantastic books and and magazines. You feel like you are staying at your Greek friend's house. The location is super with a great bakery around the corner and a lively plaza with many restaurants and cafes about two blocks away. The screens on the porch doors are a nice touch to keep the bugs away. I would 100% stay here again.
The AC did not work in one of the rooms.

For someone who has reason for not being in the heart of Athens, Neo-Psychiko is a great neighborhood. It is a quiet area and the location is super convenient with a nice bakery just around the corner, a plaza with multiple restaurants and bar nearby, and a supermarket within walking distance. The apartment is spacious, has lots of character with paintings, books, china from the owner. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms.
The arrival experience could have been much better. There are 3 keys for the apartment and it would have been nice to have them labeled as to which was for the gate, the building, and the apartment---rather than having to figure it out for yourself after many hours of travel. We were given the wrong wifi password in the arrival instructions. No information was provided about which doorbell was ours. There was no hot water in the kitchen and upon asking about that we were told that there wasn't a heater for the water in the kitchen. After we said that was unsanitary, we got a response telling us how to turn on the hot water for the kitchen. Closets and drawers available to guests were not completely cleaned out. The mattress in the master bedroom is quite soft. The main balcony is, unfortunately, not terribly useable because there are pigeons and their droppings there. The balcony floor should have been clean for our arrival.
