Guesthouse Island Escape

William was very kind and helpfull. The place is very relaxed, there’s lots of hammock’s and the sound of the waves from the sea are very pleasant. The rooms were fine, nothing special but all the basic commodities you need. Bike & snorkel rental also available!

There was no handsoap in the rooms.

This place was incredible! As the name states, it was the perfect island escape and oasis for me. My absolute favorite part was the spacious backyard filled with many palm trees that provide shade and fresh coconuts to drink (just ask the guys that run the place to help you get one down and open it for you) and mango trees where you can pick fresh mangoes daily! There are many hammocks to chill out in and the location right on the water provides a nice sea breeze to keep you cool. It was the perfect place for me to chill out and do yoga and meditation right next to the ocean and to the peaceful sound of crashing waves and nature. The facilities were always kept clean, and I appreciated having a kitchen to prepare my own meals. There is a little shop next door which was very convenient for picking up groceries. There are bicycles you can rent that are perfect for exploring the beautiful island and other beaches. And they also have snorkeling gear you can rent. There are steps out back that lead right into the water, and it's a great place for snorkeling when the water is calm (but be careful as sometimes the waves are a little rough and could push you into the rocks so not always ideal for snorkeling). This place is even great for remote workers as the wifi connection was reliable. If you book a room upstairs, there is a balcony with a table that is perfect for getting work done, doing some reading, or just hanging out. Sunky and William were both great hosts! They were friendly and very helpful with providing recommendations and information about the island. And one of the best things about this accommodation is the affordability, especially considering location and access to the ocean. My stay at Island Escape was nothing short of amazing, and I highly recommend this island oasis to anyone on Big Corn Island.
