Unique setting. 500 year old Schloss. Nice size room. Parking. Location is great for kitzbuhl and surroundings. Good value for money in an expensive area. A pool.. nice.

Outside appearance can be deceiving

The facility outside appearance.

Despite preparing for the room, after noticing that recent comments from others were accurate, we left immediately. This place should not be listed on Booking.com as it doesn't have the same standards as many of Booking.com lodging facilities.

Amazing!

This is an amazing place, close to Kitzbuehl. We travelled here with 2 kids aged below 6 and I must say that we all absolutely loved it. The rooms are beautiful and authentic, the staff and owners are attentive and great! It is a hidden gem, and we will for sure come back! For meals; the house restaurant is awesome and it serves proper Austrian house food, which is great after a long day in the mountains!

A fun and interesting place to stay for a fun weekend!

Fun, quirky, and friendly. The Schloss / Castle is really cool. We found the staff really friendly and helpful. The bed was SO comfortable. Our room in the annex had great views of the Wilder Kaiser. They offer a very good breakfast. Absolutely no complaints.

Wonderful castle stay

The staff was friendly. We got a free room upgrade. Room was wonderful!! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was great. The view from our room was stunning!! Courtyard and grounds were also fantastic!!

classic castle feel and decor, very friendly and accommodating staff, tasty and plentiful dinners

pool was too cold to swim in- more like a cold plunge. wood floors creaked a lot.

It was a place we remember cuase of the wierd place

Dinner was excellent with great service. Room was small in the annex building. Pool was not cleaned, no swimming becuase of the dirtiness.

Pool cleaning. And they need to throw away some of the furniture. They had dubble or tripple of everything.

Be sure you get the bigger rooms. The tiny double rooms are a NO NO. Try to get a room in the main building.

Original and picturesque old castle. Renovated several years ago, but needs improvements. Good breakfast and good dinner. Restaurant is elegant and clean. In the main building is an elevator. Some of the rooms are big, not all.

The rooms booked via booking were VERY small. The double bed almost filled the room. Only after complaining and hinting of the upcoming review with booking.com we received a much better room for the same price. The annex building does not have elevator and the stairs are steep.

A lovely stay in a distinctive castle with really good food and atmosphere.

The Schloss has an excellent location and offers the experience of living in a 500 year old castle! Our room was not huge, but full of character and we were very comfortable and warm. We enjoyed our breakfasts; scrambled eggs or omelette are proposed but bacon and fried eggs were also possible and perhaps other items. With our half board option the evening meal was four courses - a set menu with vegetarian alternative. Soup (always delicious), salad bar, excellent main course and dessert. Service in the restaurant was excellent. Staff on the whole were welcoming.

The place was cluttered with old junk, everywhere, both inside and outside. The garden was not tended to, filled with ruined garden furniture. We didn't get the room we booked. The hotel did not follow Covid19 measures for check in or for using the restaurant.

für ein spontanes Skiwochenende in Ordnung und das einzig vernünftig bezahlbare Hotel in der Umgebung

Das Schlösschen hat Charme, Frühstück absolut in Ordnung- jeder findet was

Sauberkeit ist ausbaufähig, Wasser im Bad läuft schlecht ab, Zimmer und das gesamte Haus sehr(!) gut geheizt, obwohl Heizung abgedreht, ohne offenes Fenster kaum auszuhalten

Personal äusserst freundlich, Frühstück sehr gut. Einzig das Badezimmer hätte eine Renovierung verdient. Das Gebäude ein Traum. Die Zimmer herrlich individuell antik ausgestattet. Insgesamt alles schön außergewöhnlich.

Ein paar mehr Heizstäbe für die Skistiefel wären komfortabel.

Das Schloss wirkt nach außen spektakulär

Die Unterkunft ist vollkommen zugestellt mit Trödel. Auf den Gängen, in den Zimmern, überall. Es ist schmutzig und staubig. Das Essen in der Halbpension war schlimm. Das Omelette verbrannt, das andere nicht ganz durch gegart. Und das Personal glänzt auch nicht gerade durch Freundlichkeit.

Er was echt niets goed!

Eigenlijk enkel het gedeelde balkon..

De kamer zelf is super klein, de niet schone inimini badkamer, niet elke dag schone handdoeken, bed was doorgezakt, de kast ging niet dicht, er lag een berg stof, het avond eten was verschrikkelijk, smorgens kon je alleen vlees of vis doorgeven, de eerste dag kregen we vis, dat eten wij niet, kregen vega falafel 3 mini stukjes. Dag 2 kregen we pasta met champion en vleesstukjes, ik had wel 1 stukje vlees erin. Toen daarvan wat werd gezegt kreeg ik er 2 stukjes bij. Dag 3 en 4 werd er niet eens meer gevraagd of we kwamen avond eten. De man die het ontbijt en avond eten doet, heeft 5 dagen dezelfde kleding gedragen, is niet vriendelijk en dit alles heeft ons voor 4 nachtjes 1300€ gekost! Veel te veel geld voor de slechte kamer, slechte faciliteiten en slechte service!

es ist sehr schmuddelig und dreckig. Alles ist mit irgendwelchen Möbeln zuhestellt. Hinter den Nachtkästchen sind noch Plastkflaschen und Dreck von Gästen vor Jahren, auf den Sofas Eklige Flecken

Wir kommen wieder!

Mein Mann und ich kennen Kitzbühel sehr lange und sehr gut. Dieses Kleinod ist trotz Nähe zum Zentrum ruhig, familiär und ein echter Geheimtipp, wenn man ausspannen will. Trotz Hahnenkammrennens und Party in der Stadt, war es ruhig und beschaulich. Man kann auch sher romantisch über wunderschöne Wege neben dem Schwarzsee in ca 1 Stunde zu Fuß das Zentrum erreichen, wenn man nicht mit dem Auto fahren will. Das Schloss ist Ausgangspunkt für herrliche Spaziergänge und die Nähe zum Schwarzsee ist im Winter, wie im Sommer, wunderbar. Das Frühstück war liebevoll hergerichtet und das Service mehr als herzlich. Wir gehen normalerweise Essen, haben aber das Abendessen mitgebucht und waren besonders positiv überrascht, wie gut dieses war. Ein liebevoll zubereitetes und herzlich serviertes Menü, selbstgemachtes Essen, wie man es sich in genau so einem Umfeld wünscht. Alles in Allem, ein perfektes Hideaway, speziell wenn man das Beste aus beiden Welten- Party und Chic in der Stadt und Ruhe und herzliche Gastfreundschaft im Schloss- schätzt.
