Close location to the National Space Centre, tiny NCP carpark next to hotel. That's where the good points end!! Rated 3 star, this hotel is not! Being generous I would give it a 1 star rating. Going to a gaming convention held at the National Space Centre a few of us chose this hotel due to convenient location and photos showing a bar, pool table and somewhere to eat. All these amenities were not available to use, apparently they won't be ready until next month. There is an unpleasant odour throughout the hotel. The room, curtains that didn't draw open, broken door to bathroom, door handle falling off from the bathroom side. Looked like someone had used the toilet and not flushed before making the room ready for check-in. Toilet paper and yellow coloured water greeted me when I went to use the toilet! Towels provided were small hand towels, mattress was the thinnest, most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on, I've walked on more comfortable carpets!! Pillows, if you can call them that were almost paper thin and pointless having. Exposed electrical wires above bed, made safe by some duct tape over the ends of the wires!! We were looking forward to our stay here based on the photos of the hotel, please do yourself a favour a do not stay here! There should be a visit/audit by a hotel inspector arranged, as this hotel should not be open for business. Just feel conned in spending money to stay in a place this bad.

Room was filthy, mystery stains on every inch of the room, not clean whatsoever! Only clean thing in the room was the bedding which I was still apprehensive about. Had to buy antibacterial wipes for the light switches and handles due to how filthy they were, cigarette smell in room as well as burn marks, leak damage/ceiling practically falling apart, place should not be open!! The receptionist was apologetic after asking for my bathroom to be cleaned again due to pubic hairs everywhere, however it just seemed as if they rinsed them away with the shower instead of using cleaning products, the place was foul and there is just no effort put in to make an incredible building worth staying In, Management need to seriously up their game and staff need to ask themselves if they’d be happy to stay in those rooms…from a head housekeeper. Very shocked and disgusted that they allow guests to stay in these conditions.

No TV, room was a very poor state and dirty. No tea making facilities. No curtain on the window. The free car parking was actually an NCP car park that you have to pay for. Steer clear of this property at all costs.

The photos online and the reality are worlds apart. The hotel looked abandoned, like it was inhabited by homeless people. The smell and dirt were overwhelming. We had to watch out for broken furniture on the stairs, a damaged wall, and debris on the floor. The bedding and bathroom were filthy. We left without staying even 10 minutes. This place should be shut down, not showcasing beautiful photos from maybe 20 years ago when it looked decent.

This hotel is no where near as good as the pictures, I’ll start from the beginning, there is no free parking like advertised. When I went to check in I noticed a very strange smell, can’t quite explain it but it wasn’t good. The room was bare, no tv, black hairs found in the bed, very dirty and dated. There was a kettle but no cups or tea/coffee. The bathroom was disgusting and the shower had very low pressure. The room was booked via work so had to stay, contemplated sleeping in my car. Please read the over reviews before booking this place. 1 good thing the girl on reception was helpful and polite.

I had to pay for the parking yet advertised as parking included, group band playing loud music till 03:30 in the morning. Kettle in the room but no cups to have a hot drink. No soap or shower fell. Toilet leaking, unclean, shower toilet. Overall advert does not reflect the actual place.

the staff were very friendly and got us everything that we asked for but the room wasn’t in a good condition and everything was dirty and we didn’t have toiletries e.g no soap to wash hands with and the bathroom wall was gross and i decided to clean to myself because i was sick of looking at it and the shower was gross and it just looked like they needed a new bathroom all together because it wasn’t properly maintained. Then, in the bedroom carpet wasn’t hovered also the curtain pole wasn’t even on properly so we couldn’t open the curtain because we didn’t want to damage it more, some sheets were stained and some of the towels were as well and the holes in the door that had been plastered badly also the tv didn’t work because there was no arial and staff had no spare wire when asked. The area wasn’t very nice either but they can’t help that, the hotel could of been so much better if it was maintained it would be a lovely place to stay because the building is really beautiful but it’s just been let go and has clearly gone downhill, is there really a cleaner because if so they need to learn how to clean properly because it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all for a good while. bar wasn’t open and we where disappointed because we wanted to try it. only reason we chose this place because it was it was close to what we wanted to do and it was close to the city centre, i suggest looking at the reviews before booking this place. the place needs to be fixed.

This hotel has to be one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in.The lock to the room didn't work, there was no hot water just luke warm,no towels in room,I asked the guy on reception for towels but he never came back with any so lucky I had a hand towel in my bag.The socket on the wall was hanging off,there was no toiletries in the bathroom and no remote for TV and there definitely wasn't any tea making facilities.The view from the window was just a pile of rubbish and the corridors stank of marijuana.And on top of all this I've bitten from head to toe with bed bugs.I'm covered in bites.I will never ever stay here again.

I didn' even sleep there. After taking a shower, the noise of waters it has remaneid. I reported thus to guy of reception and he didn't anything about. The noise was so loud I could not sleep. So, I left the hotel whitout sleep there. The room is dirty, with a bad smell.

Where to start, was first given a room That was tiny with wires out the wall, asked for another room the lady was kind enough to give another room that was bigger, but it was not clean, hair on the showers, stain on the toilet, and pillows had stains on them, unfortunately looked under the bed and full of litter, middle of the night had another person walk into my room, so they where given a key that obviously opened the same door and the man said we was given this room, thank god I was decent!

One of the horrible experiences of my life... third class. It is better to sleep on the road than to choose this hotel next time. I have no option here for photo attachment otherwise I will show it.. 1. How the cupboard door was broken. 2. No one came to clean the room or change the bed sheet or towel or toilet in my two days (self service). 3. Housekeeping staff not available. 4.They join two single beds for a double bed. 5. No tea kettle available in the room. 6. Fridge is not available in the room. 7. Bins are also not available in the room. 8. You can't sit on the toilet properly and it's full of mold. Many other things........ Select ibis or other hotel for quality standard.

place needs shutting down. When we walked in our room we could smell feces coming from the drains in the bathroom, the shower was broken and completely unusable, had been giving one small hand towel. The room was filthy and way too hot and uncomfortable and we were bitten by bedbugs. To make matters worse, while looking for an item that slipped down the middle of the 2 beds put together, we found a used needle. absolutely horrid, i am fuming. asked for a refund at the desk and showed them pictures, they said the room had been cleaned and refused a refund and said we would need to go through the booking company. they we’re very rude to us.

It was an ok place to stay if you have nowhere else to go. Not accessible for anyone with physical disabilities. You can smell cigarette smoke on most floors. I heard some guests talking about prostitution in the hotel! The floor boards are not flush, theres dust absolutely everywhere. Its a health and safety hazard. Doors are propped open with fire extinguishers, flickering lights on the landing give a proper haunted vibe.

The hotel is dirty and needs to be renewed. The bed was broken, the closet was broken and without shelves at all. The Tv wasn’t working and was clearly broken. The bathroom had an awful smell, the shower was dirty. And the worst of all this the room has not a key. They told us to leave the room open and don’t worry about it. The hotel has no lift, so you will need to pick your stuff up to the 3rd floor. I paid a £104 for one night. The owner of the hotel needs to be sued.

I was initially given a room with no handle on the ensuite bathroom door. I was then allocated a room which had no handle on the main door and had to be left ajar. With no other rooms available I had to sleep in the first room but use the ensuite in the room next door. The following morning when trying to shower, I discovered there was no bath towel in the room, only a small hand towel. On requesting a bath towel from reception, I was told there were none available as they were all being laundered. Without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in during my 60 years!

- We tried to check-in at 1pm. They instructed us to come back after 2pm. When we returned they said they didn't have our rooms and that we'd have to stay in another hotel, 20 miles away. - I selected Pay Upon Arrival, so that my friends paid for their own rooms. The hotel took the money in full 7 days prior to my arrival. - The rooms were disgusting - The car park requests that you give reception your number plate upon arrival. We did, however we all received £100 parking charges - The hotel advertised a bar - there were no bar facilities available to guests when we got there. We believe this hotel is a front for another business. We'd never advise staying here!

Appalling. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. On arrival I was told the room I had booked for myself and young son was not available. We eventually were given an extremely small room. To make matters worse, the guy at reception tried to come in to our room at 07:15am on the Sunday morning while my child was still sleeping! They constantly blamed everything on hotels.com and took no responsibility themselves. Just dreadful

Many things were a problem: Radiator was on full blast all night, so could not sleep due to heat. Valves did not work. Water pressure in shower was very low, so water was almost dribbling out. Hot water took some time to come, and when it did, it was either too cold or too hot. To was not connected when I arrived - this was sorted after I mentioned it to reception, but there is no remote control. Cupboard was dirty, and had one broken hanger, so could not hang my clothes. There was no soap in bathroom. Was given one bar when I told reception, but no shampoo. Staircase was rather dirty. There is no lift, and staircase is quite steep. The location is good, and hotel has potential to be good, but needs better management who know what it takes to run a good hotel.

Upon arrival I was designated a room which a member of staff said was not ready. Argument ensued between staff in own language. Was made clear i was not welcomed. Room had no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities. On arrival room had no TV, one was reluctantly provided by three members of staff who had an argument with each other in my room. Bathroom small, damp and floor did not feel secure. Had impression is a refugee/ asylum hotel. Did not complete stay.

I hated the stay. No idea how its gptten the stars it has on expedia but this place is not a hotel. It was dirty overall. Corriders had black bins in various places. The room was horrible, with some switches burnt and unsafe looking, other switches hanging off. Bed was dirty (with what looked like tiny curled hair, use your own imagination on what those could be). And then there was the noise. I had no sleep during the night. The other guests or whoever was living in the other rooms were loudly knocking on doors. The location was great and parking was free but i will never stay here again as i dont think thats worth enough to stay in a dingy hotel with risk of electrocution and the bed that looked as if it was probably infected with bugs. I shudder even thinking about it as i write this review.
