Ytri Vík

This place was lovely, having a hot tub on your balcony was an amazing way to relax and unwind after a day of driving. The property is close to Akureyri if you want to have dinner there or find grocery options. The check in process however was painful, with the website saying you need to contact (call) them two days prior. This is very annoying when you can’t contact them (i didn’t have calling with my eSIM plan). I spent two times with Expedia support attempting to contact the property to receive check in information. Expedia provided me with the information on behalf of the hotel. It should also be noted that no guests were in the other cabins as far as we could see (no cars) so it was not high season. Despite all of the work to check in - once we were there it was a great little place with beautiful views and facilities.

Charming, cozy, and clean cabin with a relaxing deck and very kind host. It was amazing listening to the birds at 12:30am while soaking in the hot spring fed outdoor spa watching the colorful midnight sunset, priceless! This highlight was only topped by whale watching from the porch. The cabins are set back slightly from the fjord and the views are stunning! It's an easy 1 minute walk to the waters edge, and an easy drive to Dalvik too. So thankful we found these cabins; all surrounded by wildflowers, whales, nature, and beautiful Iceland.

Very nice property - all was as they mentioned and check in was easy

We arrived at night so wasnt sure what to expect when we woke up the next morning. But wow! What a view! The hot tub was spectacular, clean and relaxing in it hearing the waves slowly crash right next to us was just serene. Everything was provided for towels and linens. Perfect little kitchen. We had to Google how to use the stove and oven/microwave. But wasnt a big deal. Definitely have a 4×4 to get up and down the long driveway. The owner was amazing and i highly recommend a stay here
