We took ferry to the island of Hvar with our car. We needed a place with a parking so this place was great. View from the room is awesome and you can walk to the harbor area from the hotel. You do have to coordinate your arrival time with the place. We weren't sure what time since we were driving and had other stops along the way. However after quick messaging, i was met with host quickly and checking in was ease. I think Hvar was one of my favorite place that I visited next to seeing old town Dubrovonik. I would definately visit this city again.

Our experience was great, the host met us on the check in and shared great recommendations, making sure we would enjoy the most out of our stay in Hvar. You must go up the stairs to reach the room, but totally worth it as the views are amazing and also just 5 minutes away from the main area.

If you have mobility issues this would be a difficult stay. We enjoyed our 3 night stay, the room is tiny but the view from the lanai is absolutely amazing! The host Mia was attentive and helpful. However it may be difficult for some travelers as there are approximately 200 steps ( stair steps) from the plaza area to the apartment. Take a cab from the harbor the stairs with luggage is difficult.

The apartment is small but adequate, had everything we needed. The view from the balcony is fabulous, but the apartment is up alot of steps so please ensure you can climb them. It was nice having the main door open on the balcony and the shutter door locked but with the shutters open to let in the breeze. Mia was great once she got in touch and made lots if suggestions of places to eat, we took on some of the suggestions but found other cheaper places to eat that were fantastic.

Spectacular view of the port from the balcony. We spent one afternoon just sitting on the balcony relaxing. Room wonderful. 5 minute walk down to the port promenade.

Beautiful view and spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and kitchen. The balcony was amazing. The property is on top of the mountain and if mobility is an issue please take a taxi from the ferry port. Walking distance (remember there is a tremendous numbers of steps) is within walking distance. The walking paths are lit. Love this apartment and highly recommend.

Very quick response anytime we had a question. Very comfortable bed and a great balcony with a view. A couple things that could have been better, an option to have a person meet at the ferry for luggage and transportation to room and a few more amenities,, paper towels in kitchen etc.

we stayed in the apartment for four people. there was the finest and most beautiful view of the Hvar town and the harbor. the apartment is perfect for, for example, two couples, as there are two separate bedrooms with their own bathroom and their own exit to the balcony. already before arrival and during the stay fantastic opportunity for communication with the landlord via whats app, helpful with fast and high servicw. we enjoyed it so much. Absolut all our recomments. The apartment is placed in the Old town and everything is easy to reach, boats, Beach, shopping, restaurants. I hope a lot of guets Can enjoy it as we did. Outstanding place.

I loved everything about this property! The host was super friendly and informative. Made me feel very welcome. The property itself is clean, well equipped and most importantly - has the best view! We had a wonderful stay at this property. We were in communication with Bonkan prior to our visit and he picked us up from the ferry, which was very helpful. He helped us with a variety of things such as beach towels, directions, and recommendations for luggage storage. The only downside was that we had to check out at 10AM but we were also fortunate that we were able to check in early upon arrival so that worked out. I would recommend.

View from room is amazing. Distance to marina is 5 minutes of climb. Need taxi if you have luggage. The hosts are very good. The coffee provided in room is 3in1. We had to buy one without suger as we don't drink with suger. Everything else was fantastic.

Great stay! Good communication prior to arrival to give us details of where to park, the unit we are in, how to access the internet, and recommendations for restaurants. There were even 2 beers in the fridge to welcome us! The view of Hvar harbour from of the balcony is spectacular! Well funished and well equipped kitchen (even had a drip coffee maker with a fliter already in it and a full jar of coffee!). The location is just above the town, so restaurants are just a short walk away! We loved this place and will definitely come back to stay here if we get back to this area in the future.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The property managers Antonia and Matko went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The view from our room and the lobby was perfect. The location was excellent. Plenty of privacy. They even provided parking for a rental car/scooter/quad. Highly recommended!

The view is every bit as good as the picture on the ad. Matko is really friendly and brought us two beers to enjoy the view after checking in. Very clean and modern apartment. There are a few steps to climb to get up to the apartment from the town but it's not too bad and well worth it for the view.

Amazing place! I want give them 7star! Bonkan is definitely the best place in Hvar! View, facility, service, all the details and location! Don’t say you’ve been Hvar if you didn’t stay bonkan. One important tip: if you have luggage without car must take a cap from hvar bus station. Too many stairs to carry your luggage. But without heavy luggage you will even love the stairs because all the way to bonkan is beautiful. You can enjoy the real Hvar! Must stay here!

My husband and I loved staying at this beautiful apartment!! You have the best view of Hvar and are AWAY from the party noise that goes on till after 1am. It was very quiet, clean and had great air condition. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Before our arrival, we got several emails regarding check in information and direction to the apartment. He gave us suggestions on day trips which we throughly enjoyed. We already miss being there. I would highly recommend this place!

We were so warmly welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and comfortable with incredible views of Hvar town and the harbor from our private balcony. Our host went above and beyond to give us an overview of the activities available on the island and help us find an automatic vehicle rental when all were reserved. Staying here we were treated as if we were guests in their home, and we highly recommend Bonkan to anyone visiting Hvar. The staff is amazing!

We would not stay here again or recommend theses hosts. It was really an unpleasant situation to be in. The water heater was broken, They had someone fix it at 8am! The next morning but who wants to deal with that !!!?!!?? The beds were awful so uncomfortable and basically cots. Showers were awful !!!!!! Not nice at allllllllll

Great apartment with a beautiful view of the harbor of Hvar. Definitely a bit of a hike up the stairs — so just be aware in case you have any issues with stairs. Otherwise it was good exercise after all the eating we’ve been doing. The owners communicated with us clearly beforehand to make sure we knew where we were going and they knew when we’d get there. We were even greeted with two lovely cold beers after our uphill walk. The room is comfortable and has a great little outdoor balcony — and the shower and all other facilities were modern and comfortable too.
