    Good value for money and location, however the rooms and facilities lack attention to detail with maintenance required. Silcon in wet areas coming away with some mould, pool has some rust where overflow grates are. Interestingly, my bathroom had no overflow drain in wet area which means that excess water cannot drain away. I don’t think it’s compliant to building standards should there be pooling of water. The hotel offers excellent potential but not once did I see any cleaners which reiterate cost cutting measures. Please look after the hotel to a better standard

    Short walk 4-5mins to Melbourne Central station/mall, Vic State Library and Queen Vic market. Lots of choices for food, cafe around the hotel. 2 bedroom apartment is spacious for 4 person.

    Very good location but services very poor. Wanted to do some simple cooking via oven but oven made loud sounds/vibrations that did not stop for more than 30 mins. Called maintenance and just said it’s how we switch it on but after maintenance left the sounds repeated! Super annoying. So avoided using it and was such an in convenience. Then the AC of the whole apartment did not work on the 3rd night of our stay (some nights were hot even with windows open and fans provided eventually - we did not sleep well). Avani staff kept on promising to fix it (asked daily) but never did until end of our stay. Overall - ruined our holidays abit.
