Enjoy the hot tub (year round), cowboy pool (open May-Sept), fire pit, lounge areas and gardens at The Desert Compass property during your stay.


THE DESERT COMPASS
The Desert Compass is a historic adobe compound with 6 boutique vacation rentals located in the heart of Old Town, Albuquerque. Our reimagined historic adobe (earth brick) buildings are surrounded by a lush gardens and all the best desert vibes. Our unique suites are carefully curated with luxury and relaxation in mind - featuring local artwork, antique furniture, vintage and handmade furnishings, and photogenic spaces.

Each suite is a completely private space with a full kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Our communal style of hospitality allows you to enjoy your own private accommodations, while also having the opportunity to gather with friends or meet new people on the grounds or at the pool. Our entire property is surrounded by a 6 foot privacy wall with gated keypad access for privacy and security, and includes secured off-street parking for 1 vehicle.

LOCATION
The Desert Compass is located in historic Old Town, Albuquerque. Directly across the street is Tiguex Park, the entrance to historic Old Town plaza, the Albuquerque Museum, and a block away is the Museum of Natural History, Explora Science Museum, and Sawmill neighborhood, with the newly built Sawmill Market - an upscale food hall featuring some of the city's best food and drinks.

Historic Old Town has been the heart of Albuquerque since the city was founded here in 1706. Today, Old Town is the city's cultural center, with numerous museums and more than 100 shops, galleries and restaurants. Old Town’s narrow streets and century-old adobe houses are home to New Mexican eateries serving enchiladas and sopapilla pastries, and tiny artisan shops selling jewelry, rugs and pottery. Old Town Plaza is a charming spot overlooked by the 18th-century San Felipe de Neri Church. Nearby, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science has dinosaur skeletons, while the Albuquerque Museum displays Southwestern art.
