Made the trip from Dallas, Tx. The drive in was breath taking. The cabin was great, tucked away in the mountains with plenty of privacy. It was clean and great amount of space for the 4 of us adults, plus my dog. We got to feed chipmunks and saw some deer. Had a little hiccup with the hot water faucet downstairs but the host was very communitive and did their best to resolve it as quickly as possible. Stairs inside are difficult for older individuals or dogs to use (we used the stairs outside most of the time) the road coming up is quit bumpy but expected when you're in the mountains. The leaves were just starting to change colors for the fall, which made for even more stunning views everywhere. Easy to get to Breckenridge and Fairplay. We made the trip to Leadville for a train ride and it was fantastic. We got to see the stars and some very beautiful sunsets! Overall it was a very nice and peaceful getaway. Loved the escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and didnt want to leave!

Beautiful home. Great location. Even saw a moose night 1! But the best part is that it didn’t feel like someone’s rental, we felt like we were staying at someone’s home! Thoughtful touches throughout, everything we needed to cook good meals. Gorgeous patio to relax and eat on and the bed warmers were heavenly on the cold nights. Stairs inside the home were rough for a dog, but easy enough to take them the outside route. Will absolutely be coming back!

We really enjoyed this property. The location being so close to Alma is ideal, and the home itself sits on a large lot that provides plenty of privacy. There was an issue with the dishwasher not working, however, the owner reached out to us right away at check-in to inform us of the problem. He let us decide whether we wanted to try to have it fixed during our vacation or wait until after our stay was over to send a repair person out to the house. We opted to hand wash dishes to avoid any interruption to our daily plans, and we appreciated be given the option to do so by the owner.The house is spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2 separate living areas, but the upstairs gathering space is a little tight for groups larger than 4. The kitchen had everything needed for making all meals, and the grill on the side deck was perfect for barbecuing. We enjoyed spending hours on the front deck watching the wildlife, especially the hummingbirds, and soaking in the nice weather.Overall, we found this home to be a great place to stay and would definitely return in the future.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at your cabin! Perfectly located near Alma, Jefferson Lake, and beautiful hiking trails. Worked well as a home base for our family on our mountain vacation.
Cabin was cozy and well-equipped to host our family of 7. We did feel like it needed a good, deep-cleaning. Surfaces were dusty, lots of cob webs, and all light fixtures really need to be wiped down. Not a big deal and we enjoyed our stay overall! Would definitely return! 😊
