Wonderful stay for a month in the mountains near the Blue Ridge Parkway! Perfect size cabin with all the amenities you need and just minutes away from Maggie Valley itself. The surrounding area was perfect for multiple hikes and easy access to the Parkway. Property Manager was very responsive to any inquiries. We saw an elk while out walking and too many butterflies, chipmunks, and squirrels to count. The creek was amazing both in sound and sight! We will definitely be back!

We spent a number of weeks at Wise Old Bear cabin, and were also there last summer. We love the location, the cleanliness, prompt response to a couple of issues, and plan to return next year. No bears in our yard this year, but a number of elk strolled through right outside our window. It's a great place.

The cabin was perfectly appointed with everything you need! Clean and comfortable and quiet. While we had a rainy week and couldn’t enjoy the creek area with fire pit the sight and noise of running water is so calming! It was perfect for the 2 of us. Local restaurants were pretty good. Try Joey’s Pancakes! Close enough to take day trips to Cherokee, Waynesville, Franklin, Bryson City, Dillsboro and Sylva. Would definitely rent again.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The property was just as beautiful! The creek with the fire pit area was our favorite spot to be. Not far from town but yet you feel so secluded in this spot! Definitely will be planning to book again here in the future. Just a recommendation- A hot tub would be super nice!!;)

This cozy little cabin set back in the mountains was the perfect getaway for my husband and I to celebrate our 10 year anniversary relaxing. The sound of the creek right in the backyard was so peaceful. Though we didn't see any wildlife in the yard, we did see elk just down the road on the way in. We plan to bring our children back in the spring. Highly recommend staying in this cabin rental.

We loved our stay at this little cabin! The views with the creek right outside was wonderful. Location and ease of getting to in and out of it was great. We enjoyed seeing the elk everyday in the area of the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked but I would recommend bringing any special items you may need for cooking. It was my husband and I, so we found the cabin size very adequate for our needs. Would highly recommend for any couple.

The location was wonderful. My husband loved the screened in porch and I loved the river. The cabin was absolutely adorable. There is plenty of room for two and the sound of the river at night is amazing. We Loved Wise Ole Bear!

This was the perfect place to stay. It was comfortable and serene in every way. I loved the sound of the stream on the property, having a fire pit to sit out and enjoy, and an elk visited one morning. Walked right outside of the screened porch! This little cabin was everything I needed and more! I especially liked the close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Smokey Mountains National Park. Thanks to the owners for offering such a beautiful place to rent.

We want to move down in this area from Massachusetts and this is the 3rd time in the area, but this cabin on a creek sold us, the smell of wood when you walk into the cabin, perfect decor, comfortable furniture and very clean, sounds of the creek relaxed us after long days of exploring, sitting in the screened porch rocking on the chairs finished the night outside before watching some TV with the fireplace on to take the chill out, so thankful for this experience!!

The price associated with the rental and the location we're both great. The check in process and the renting process we're also easy. The location was breathtaking, we were nestled in between two mountains right on a creek with its own three level waterfall. There were two areas with the fire pits both of them were convenient and easy to get to. one was down stairs from the deck and one was right outside the cabin next to the charcoal grill. The cabin was recently built it had all the conveniences of home like a washer and dryer dishwasher and a gas fireplace, air conditioning and heater. I love the area it's close to the ski resort to the snow tubing and it's only an hour away from Gatlinburg. Maggie Valley itself is a beautiful country town where everybody's friendly and everything closes early and it's quiet at night we love it. I think the only negative was having to bring all our toiletries and garbage bags and dish soap and things of that nature. But really it was just a very small inconvenience which I didn't mind at all. Ultimately we had a beautiful time and enjoyed ourselves very much .

The property is beautiful and accommodations were as described. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the sound of the water. The only disappointment was there is not a regular coffee maker they only offer k-cup so we had to go to town for a cup of gas station coffee. Also being responsible to take off the trash to the dump was really off-putting and there was no forewarning.

Loved everything about this property, easy paved access, great for a couples get away or for a family of four, the cabin is tastefully decorated, loved grilling and sitting by the fire pit overlooking the creek and exploring down by by the creek, would definitely recommend staying here.
