About this cabin rental
Escape to Parksville for a relaxing winter stay at The Safe Harbour, a bright and comfortable three-bedroom cottage at Oceanside Village Resort, just a 10–15 minute walk from beautiful Rathtrevor Provincial Park and its beaches.
Here, winter days can be as active or as restful as you like. Take a peaceful walk through the forest to Rathtrevor Beach, explore Parksville and the surrounding Vancouver Island communities, or simply enjoy a slower day close to home. Afterward, warm up with a swim or soak in the resort’s year-round shared indoor pool and hot tub.
Back at the cottage, curl up by the fireplace in the spacious open-plan living area, enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV with cable, or settle in for a board game together. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at home, while the outdoor deck and BBQ are available when you feel like cooking outside.
With room for up to six guests, The Safe Harbour offers three comfortable bedrooms with one king bed, one queen bed, and two twin beds, along with two full bathrooms, in-suite washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, and the everyday essentials for a comfortable stay. The extra space and home-like conveniences make it equally welcoming for a weekend escape or a longer winter stay.
You’ll be close to local restaurants, shopping, spas, nature trails, and some of Parksville’s best-loved attractions, while still having a comfortable cottage to return to at the end of the day.
Whether you’re planning a peaceful coastal getaway, visiting family, or settling in for an extended stay, The Safe Harbour offers an easy and comfortable way to experience Vancouver Island’s quieter season.

A home away from home! A warm welcome when we arrived with the lights on and everything ready to be used. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Thank you!

The host was amazing to work with and responded quickly to our questions. The cabin was nicely decorated and comfortably furnished, the A/C kept it cool, and the kitchen was well stocked. The cabin is nicely located on the resort and we swam, used the hot tub and visited the miniature golf and enjoyed the beach. Check out was not tedious and again the host was very pleasant. We would highly recommend this rental!

We had a wonderful stay at Safe Harbour! Judy was an amazing host from start to finish. It was a perfect cottage that had everything that we needed. The teens all had their own bed and we were able to bring our dogs which is a HUGE bonus.
