We loved our stay, and Stella was such a gracious host.

The perfect overnight 1.5 hours from Paris, I surprised my boyfriend with a stay here. The 2 room suite was only €20 more than one of the smaller rooms, and totally worth it. A projector for watching movies, a giant bed in a room that felt like a cloud, and a massive clawfoot tub with a big window that showed the beautiful autumn leaves. We didn’t want to leave. (Heads up, checkout is 11, but it seems late checkouts are ok!) Hot tip! Bring a bottle of wine and some snacks to curl up by the downstairs fire at night.

Very little not to love but…the curtains, while beautiful, were not blackout, so expect to be up with the sun unless you bring an eye mask. In the AM, there were guests upstairs with a very active toddler, running, jumping, dropping heaving things. (Bring some earplugs just in case.) Surprising, as I’d really not recommend this hotel full of gorgeous antiques and taxidermy to those with kids!

The Maison Stella Cadente is a beautiful historic manor set within park-like grounds. The Algerian couple who manage the property were absolutely delightful and accommodating. They even drove me to the train station on the morning of my departure. The breakfast of breads, fruit, juice and coffee was very good. The location is convenient for exploring the medieval upper city on foot.

Since there is no elevator and my room was located on the top floor, transporting luggage up and down was a bit strenuous, but not too difficult.

A stay to remember!

A very unusual fun property with interesting decour, fantastic service with very attentive staff that made our stay unique and special. They made us delicious home made mint tea, gave us fresh figs and eggs for breakfast and a selection of bread and croissants. They even made a home made breakfast drink for us. We liked having a family suit with three separate rooms to sleep our family of five. Very comfortable beds. Really handy for old town.

Free Parking is available on the property but only for cars as it’s through a restricted height entrance so we had to park opposite. This was fine as it was mid week and no festivals but there are tow signs there which I think may be enforced at busier times.

Chateau architecture and room layout! Gardens with front and side gates!! Decorations and furnishings in the rooms and shared areas! Very friendly hosts!! Real keys and windows that open! Great hillside view of t town!

Stay was much too short…. Was only given 2 out of 3 keys to get into the property after hours. Presently however other guests with the front door key arrived!

Place has some old spirit of old French, and same smell in the rooms.

Our room was not available upon arrival. Host offered to replace it with a different one, but we did not like it, and when I tried to explain it to the host via another guest's help (host does not speak English), she called me barbarian...

our room was crowded and cramped, and the decor had seen better days. The communal areas were very cold. there were many stuffed birds and my husband has a bird phobia.

Would like to come back when it's not so cold. Could not sit in the lounge and during breakfast in the morning it was cold. However fully understand that it's difficult to heat the house downstairs for just 2 rooms. We were very comfortable in our room

Stately and yet humorously eccentric boutique hotel which was like a welcoming den after travelling.

The attitude of all the staff who showed friendly professionalism and concern. They were humorous and informative, always with natural ready smiles. We felt like part of a family….they chatted well in 2 languages to help with advice which was especially helpful. The eccentric boutique appearance; all rooms were dressed beautifully and with interest. The exterior space, paths, gardens. Excellent food.

The room was a bit too hot, I hadn’t realised there were radiators on. My problem…but if I had realised I would have asked for them to be switched off.

there was one double booking, the WC were leaking, the door of the shower not closing properly, no hangers to put your clothes, and the diner didn’t work properly, the staff was not reactive.

Cozy & pleasant stay

We booked the Moulin Rouge room which was fun, original and unusual. Dinners were great and of excellent quality. Breakfasts were good and copious. The serving staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a great stay.

Great restaurant looking out onto the beautiful, expansive garden. Well-situated: close to attractions but tucked away and calm.

The hotel could benefit from a bit of a refresh -- it's less striking/beautiful than it comes across in the photos (which I believe may have been taken awhile ago...).

Staff was really kind and available.

Shower “hydro massage” was the reason I booked the room. And it was a disaster, jets were not working, and water was flooding the floor of the room. The pictures were so pretty, reality is a bit different.

Proximité de la ville haute. Accueil et amabilité du couple qui gère cette maison. Charme de la maison. Décoration décalée mélangeant le classique, le bling bling et l'originalité.

Pas d'armoire dans la chambre. Aucun endroit pour ranger les vêtements. Des cintres sont présents sur les patères de la salle de bain mais qui suspend des vêtements propres entre la douche et les WC ?

Bel accueil dans cette "villa" au charme de l'ancien, très bien située a proximité de la ville haute de Provins. petit déjeuner copieux et service très attentionné Il y a un problème de fuite d'eau dans les toilettes de la chambre, ce qui créé une consommation excessive d'eau et du bruit au moment du remplissage (heureusement on a le sommeil lourd) :)

Une belle maison avec style.

La gérance a changé, il y a vacance, on a l'impression que c'est un peut la fin d'un cycle pour cet établissement. Nous avons été accueillis par des employés qui étaient en train de repeindre la façade (odeurs de peintures). Très sympathiques au demeurant, mais dont ça n'est pas du tout le métier, et qui n'en possède pas les codes. Les chambres sont mal nettoyées (fenêtres sales, punaises au sol), voire pas préparées (mésaventure rencontrée par d'autres clients durant notre séjour). Petit-déjeuner frugal, à huit serrés sur une table, et qui n'était pas débarassée systématiquement après le départ des clients ayant achevé leur déjeuner.

c'est un trés beau lieu avec des prestations un peu décevantes ; une maison d'hôtes, sans hôte.

c'est une maison d'hôtes sans hôte. on a eu un souci/question à 21h00 ; et personne pour nous répondre, même au téléphone. nous avions réservé une suite familiale avec télé et wifi (faisait parti des prestations). il n'y avait ni l'un, ni l'autre. chasse d'eau WC fuyante avec bruit toute la nuit. une poignée de porte nous ai resté dans la main. il y avait des cheveux noirs dans le lit simple de notre fils (blond). au petit déjeuner, pour avoir une 2e tasse de café, il a fallu attendre que tout le monde soit servi pour voir si il y avait assez de café ... et on nous a demandé de payé en partant une taxe de séjour en liquide, sans aucun document officiel, ni même de reçu.

Es war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis. Man fühlte sich in eine andere Zeit versetzt. Offenes Kaminfeuer, Kerzen, Gemälde. Es gab wohl vor kurzem einen Besitzerwechsel. Daher ist der Momentane Betrieb eher wie ein Hostel. Wiir konnten uns in der Küche selbst versorgen und auch selbst den Kamin im Salon anheizen. Für uns - traumhaft! Ich könnte mir denken, dass nach der kompletten Renovierung alles sich wieder mehr Richtung Hotel entwickelt... Auf jeden Fall ein Objekt, welches man im Auge behalten muss. Wie aus einem Film. Einem guten Film. Der richtige Ort sich zu zerstreuen und ein Buch zu schrieben...

Déco originale mais manque de propreté et de convivialité

Maison de caractère, beau jardin, espaces extérieurs pour le petit-déjeuner si le temps le permet, stationnement facile, proche de la ville haute médiévale

Personne n'habite la maison, ce n'est donc pas une chambre d'hôtes. La maison est vétuste et mal entretenue (volets rouillés et décrépis ...) La chambre est décorée avec style mais c'est superficiel : la peinture de la chambre est écaillée à plusieurs endroits (murs, fenêtres, ...), la propreté laisse à désirer (poussière importante partout), les livres présentés sont déchirés, la télé ne fonctionnait pas, la douche n'est pas fonctionnelle avec les rideaux qui diminuent considérablement la surface... Le petit-déjeuner est correct, sans plus : les produits ne sont pas de grande qualité. Eclairage dans la cage d'escalier très faible et qui rend dangereux les escaliers.

La gentillesse des hôtes (super accueillants, toujours aux petits soins des clients). La décoration de toutes les pièces de la maison est atypique et vous transporte dans un monde de contes de fées. Génial et marrant !

Hôtes accueillants, chambre Alice spacieuse et confortable avec notre bébé, super emplacement, très bon petit déjeuner. Merci pour l’accueil et les différents échanges qui nous ont permis de passer un très agréable séjour !

- L’emplacement, à proximité de tous les lieux d’intérêt (ville haut et ville basse) - Le côté typique du lieu et le parc - Le calme

- La qualité des équipements qui laisse un peu à désirer (pas de pommeau de douche, peinture abîmée…) - Le petit-déjeuner qui n’est pas au rendez-vous par rapport au prix du logement (manque de viennoiseries ou qui ne correspondent pas à ce qui était prévu, pas de jus maison, café Senseo…) Un séjour qui reste agréable mais pour 1 ou 2 nuits maximum !

Un rafraîchissement au niveau de la chambre serait un plus ainsi qu'un nettoyage en hauteur. Le petit déjeuner: peut-être ajouter du chaud, du salé et des produits locaux qui sont nombreux et de plus grandes quantités (nous avions demandé des croissants et mon compagnon n'a pas pu en avoir car il n'y en avait plus). Essayer d'instaurer une meilleure organisation.

Le personnel, la literie, l'emplacement, le parc de la maison, le côté atypique.

Plein de petits détails manquants (la salle de bain : pas de pommeau de souche, pas de boîte de mouchoirs, pas de patère, douche froide le soir tard et le matin). Petit déjeuner à améliorer, ajouter : salé, laitage, fruit, vienoiserie et pain de meilleur qualité.

Schitterende overnachting in statige woning van grootindustrieel

Ligging was top, op wandelafstand van “ville haute”, het middeleeuws deel ; en ook van “nieuwe” centrum. Vlakbij een lekker resto ontdekt dat sinds 1270 bestaat.(see pic) Correct ontbijt aangeboden in overleg met vriendelijke concierge in originele salon ruimtes.
