About this house rental
Plan a truly unforgettable gathering at Heart's Desire, a spacious log home built for vacationing on a grand scale. Tucked on a quiet cove of Deep Creek Lake, this waterfront retreat comfortably sleeps large groups and multi-family reunions in style — with room to spread out and plenty of reasons to come back together.
The great room's floor-to-ceiling windows frame breathtaking views of Deep Creek Lake and the slopes at Wisp Resort, setting the scene for morning coffee or evening wind-downs. The kitchen comes fully equipped with double the appliances — two fridges, two ovens, two dishwashers — so cooking for a crowd is a breeze, not a bottleneck. Soak away the day in one of the two private hot tubs, or head down to your own boat slip for an afternoon on the water.
Sleeping arrangements offer privacy for everyone: a main-level primary suite with a king bed and deck access, two upper-level primary suites (king and queen), a mother-in-law suite with an ensuite bath, and four lower-level queen bedrooms, two with direct patio access. Every bedroom includes its own tv. Downstairs, the family room delivers cozy movie nights by the fire and a full-size pool table for friendly competition.
Whether you're swimming, fishing, and boating in summer or skiing, snowtubing, and ice skating just five minutes away in winter, there's something here for every age and interest. Shops, restaurants, and golf all nearby, and free wifi keeps everyone connected.
With space, comfort, and unbeatable lake views, Heart's Desire is where your group's next favorite memory begins. Book your stay today!
If your rental is listed as having a Boat Dock as an amenity provided with this property, this is subject to weather conditions, water levels, and other natural factors.
*Please Note: A 4WD vehicle is required in winter months (November - March).

Heart’s Desire was an amazing location. So close to Wisp, local stores, restaurants, etc. the view of fantastic. We loved that the house was equipped with two of every appliance- so helpful for a house full of people! The kitchen had good quality pots and pans and plenty of silverware, dishes, etc. We were hesitant about booking due to less than stellar reviews about temperature in the home- and I would say that was a bit of an issue for us. The first floor (which had 4 bedrooms) was freezing. There were space heaters in each room and they helped a bit. The house in general was super drafty, it “leaked like a sieve” as my husband said. On the other hand, the upper bedrooms were super hot. We were either hot or cold- had a hard time moderating the temp! The bathrooms were clean but definitely older. Couches and rugs were old and worn but good enough. All in all I’d say the home was “good enough.” The scenery, size, kitchen and general amenities and the location were perfect. If it were my home to rent out, I’d get new rugs and couches asap and try to do something about the thermostat. Maybe it needs two zones. I don’t know. That first level was icy cold!

House is in need of updating. Lack of adequate heat in lower level made for uncomfortable nights for guest in lower level. Lower level gas fire place needs attention for easier lighting. Pool table had a tear in the felt and no tips on clue sticks.
