About this house rental
The Iris Cottage is the perfect getaway for families. The home sits on a large peaceful corner in Paradise Hill with close proximity to Strayhorn Marina, Fin & Feather Resort and Soda Steve’s restaurant. The home boasts a large tranquil deck with an outdoor table that seats 8 and makes for a great place to gather while the pellet smoker prepares dinner. There is also an outdoor tv under the covered section of the deck. With 3 BR’s and 3 BA, there should be plenty of room for playing games, relaxing, or spending time with friends & family. There is a DVD player in the master bedroom and the living room with many great movie classics to choose from. If you can’t find a movie, the kids may opt for the Wii and have a Guitar Hero challenge.
The cabin is appr. 2,000 square feet, multi-level, and sleeps 10 in 3 bedrooms with the following layout;
1 King in the loft
1 King in the master
1 Queen in the walkout basement
1 full/twin bunk bed in the walkout basement
1 twin/twin bunk bed in the walkout basement
-Multi-level home with stairs.
There is also a futon in the master among with a king size bean bag bed that kids would love.

The Iris Cottage was perfect for our stay with our friends. Between the two families, we had four grown boys, ample room to sleep, and three bathrooms that accommodated everyone. The house is built on a hill, so be prepared for stairs, but it lends to its charm. There is a new deck on the back side that was a perfect spot for our morning coffee. The stained glass windows seemed to take on a different hue depending on the rising and setting sun. When I needed to chat with the host, he was quick to respond. We hope to make the Iris Cottage a yearly vacation spot!

Perfect set up for our family. Plenty of room for grandkids and we loved sitting on the porch in the morning and evening,

It’s a sweet older home that feels like visiting grandma’s place at the lake. Soda Steve’s is a nice walk away and Strayhorn Marina is a four minute drive. The host left clear instructions for check-in and check out. I have to say, this was the easiest checkout I’ve ever experienced.
