Come and recharge your batteries at the Gîte Le Rocher 5* and relax in its private Spa, to be used throughout the year, with a view of the Pyrenees, surrounded by the calm of soothing nature!
Completely renovated, the barn has regained the charm of yesteryear of wood and stone, combined with today's modern comfort (Spa, air conditioning in all rooms and the 2 bedrooms, 2 queen-size beds, 2 sofa beds, 2 connected TVs, wood stove, American fridge, washing machine, dryer, wifi, plancha)
Come and enjoy this cocooning atmosphere...
The outdoor wellness area is composed of a Nordic bath, to be used throughout the year (at no extra cost), and a large covered terrace to enjoy your meals in the shelter, facing the mountains.
Complete relaxation of body and mind awaits you!!
Upstairs you will find 2 spacious air-conditioned bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
One of the bedrooms also benefits from an alcove with TV corner and sofa.

The surrounding valleys will be the starting point for your hikes or bike rides and winter sports in the resorts of Val d'Azun, Col du Soulor, Gourette, Cauterets (skiing, sledging, snowshoeing, etc.).
In the surrounding area you can visit: The Asson Zoo (5 min), the Caves of Bétharram (15 min), the sanctuary and the grotto of Lourdes (20 min), the Train d'Artouste (40 min), the Château de Pau (25 min), the Argelès-Gazost animal park (30min)...
You can reach Spain via the Col du Pourtalet in 50 minutes.
The cottage is independent and not overlooked.
It is a 5-minute drive from the village of Asson which has all the shops and services to do your shopping (mini-market, bakery, butcher, tobacconist, press, gas stations...) a medical office is also set up there with a doctor, a pharmacy, nurses, physiotherapists, osteopaths.
I am a farmer and live 10 minutes from the cottage, I could advise you on the best walking routes and places to visit.
If you wish, I will show you around my farm and its animals.

All the previous reviews were the reason we rented this lovely home! It’s in the country outside Asson/Nay and has lovely views. The house itself is only 2 years old and is obviously constructed by superb craftsmen. Beautiful wood everywhere and comfortable spaces to relax and cook. There’s an amazing outdoor jacuzzi, too. We took drives up to several cols, the Col d’Aubisque for one and then to Gavarnie. It’s gorgeous here! The owners were very helpful and available. Highly recommend!

The property is beautiful, both inside and out! Laurent and Severine are excellent hosts! They have thought of everything when accessorizing the property. The gete is only about one year old, so everything is fresh. The appliances are all quality products. We had an opportunity to visit Laurent’s farm (we would call it a ranch in US) and that was a special treat. They are a hard working couple. We also met their children - very polite and very nice. I have nothing but praise for this property. You will not be disappointed! The views are amazing too!

We stayed for 4 nights in this stunningly presented gite as part of a family roadtrip through the French and Spanish Pyrenees.
The pictures on the listing do not do this wonderful property justice, it is furnished to rhe highest standard and takes your breath away when you walk in.
The location is very tranquil, when you sit in the hot tub at night, the only sounds are that of nature..it is the most relaxing place i have ever stayed with my family.
The best part of staying in this gite are the wonderful owners and hosts who live 5 minutes away and provide an amzaing personla service.
We have already commited to come back next year and stay for at least a week - Simply stunning!

Severine and Laurent are the perfect host. It was a pleasure meeting you and your beautiful family. The gite is more lovely than pictured and has everything for a wonderful stay including Ferme Fromagerie Matocq. The cottage is the perfect location for visiting Lourdes and hiking the beautiful Pyrenees. Thank you for making us feel welcomed. We will be back dear friends. Until then au revolt. Cindy & Paul
