This property gets 5 stars for location, spectacular view and facility with wonderful hosts. The Las Gavias complex (and Mazatlan as a whole) is a friendly place in the perfect location. It's close to everything you need with great restaurants within a couple of blocks. The beach is easily walkable and the buses and Didi are easy when it's a bit too far to walk. Juan and Miranda are accomodating and the perfect hosts. The view on the balcony is second to none.The reason for the title is that a few things disappointed us. The host recommended not drinking the water. In other places we have stayed with the same issue hosts provided a water dispenser which used large replaceable jugs. Having to buy water in small jugs is so wasteful! There was daily noise (except Sunday) from the construction next door which was quite annoying when sitting on the balcony or lounging at the pool. This can be expected to continue for many more months because the building has just started. The sewer smell that emmantes from the utilty room on a regular basis was pretty gross even with sewer cover on and door closed. The beds were hard and could use a memory foam topper. These are things that mattered to us and we thought other guests should be aware of. A true 5 star would not have these issues. Except for the smell and the noise the other two are easily addressed. That said we still recommend guests stay at this property and with tempered expectations they won't be disappointed.

Very close to Golden zone, lots of good restaurants right around. Very good information sheet left by the owners. heated pool so it was very comfortable

This accommodation was everything as advertised and could not have been better.
The property manager was very helpful and attentive to any queries we had.
Overall, a very good place to stay resulting in a great vacation.
