White Hart, Newmarket by Marston's Inns

Free parking included with the stay, the room was clean with tea/coffee and a kettle. Would stay here again, very convenient for the horse racing. The bar area does get very busy with a good atmosphere, my only small negative is that the you can hear and feel the music in your room until approx 12:30 am.

We didn't have breakfast booked as we were departing early, however we had a meal at lunchtime which was fantastic. Beds were comfortable enough.

Nice big car park just off the high street with parking included in the stay, check in desk at the back of the building just off the car park which was neat and easy, room was well appointed clean and comfortable. Pub downstairs with food and drink (although just as expensive as everywhere seems to be these days with £5.50-£6 ish pints). Got stuck in the car park for 20 mins or so on my out whilst they got a beer delivery and the truck blocked the only route out of the car park but I imagine that would be a rare occurrence and it was a lovely sunny day and me in no rush it didn't matter.

The staff were excellent as was the breakfast but we had to change rooms as the heating was on full and the first room was unbearably hot and the radiator was broken. The rooms were very clean but in need of some refurbishment

An incredibly basic room. Small with limited floor space or storage. Fine for one night stay, but I’d be reluctant to visit for multiple nights.

The guy on check in was pleasant and helpful, but that was the only time we saw anyone on the desk,The room was small and needed a freshen up,there was marks on the walls ,wallpaper coming off .there was no veiw. The beds were comfortable , and there was a good size bathroom. ,we found our stay disappointing.The hotel needs up dating it looks tired .we have stayed a few times but this has been the worse room.There,s a good size car park,and the location is great

The staff here is truly wonderful! As there is no elevator, they helped us to take our bags upstairs to our rooms. I was working a good portion of our trip and the wifi here was great. The employees offered suggestions on places we could walk to visit in the town and made sure to let us know if the pub kitchen was closing in case we wanted to order.

Room 11 was basic but clean. However, as visit was during very hot weather, had to leave window open and consequently was extremely noisy until very late and again early the next morning. We would add that the staff were amazing; friendly and very helpful, even though they were extremely busy .. thank you great staff!

Marston's itself was excellent.surperb food and great satisfying breakfast. The hotel rooms were small and a bit dated and requires refurb. Can be very hot and music plays until midnight. However we did enjoy our stay and would return.

Good bedding and comfortable bed , nice modern bathroom . Good bar restaurant area downstairs. Down sides are the rooms are very small but fine for a 1 night stayover . Rooms very badly need a paint and tidy up as very scuffed and worn but clean and had everything needed for a night .

It is conveniently placed for all the attractions that Newmarket has. The room was clean the staff very helpful. The only downside was the stairs as our room was on the second floor and I have mobility problems but I done it and got quicker in the three days we stayed.

Excellent budget option with handy onsite parking. Staff really friendly. Happily changed our room as the shower was faulty. Second room was lovely given price. Communal hallways a bit out of date but rooms and other parts were perfect. Would definitely repeat. Very good location for restaurants etc and racecourse.

I was really sceptical at first because when we arrived the pub was really noisy but we had been told the venue was lively. I went to use the toilet in the bar while waiting for the key to our room and none of the hot taps worked in the ladies. We also had to wait about 10 minutes to get a key from the busy bar staff. However, the room was clean, the bed really comfortable and the bathroom was nice with lovely towels. The hotel was in a good location for what we needed and a lovely receptionist in the morning to check us out. We also benefitted from free parking which was not available at other local hotels.

Friendly and helpful staff. Central location, convenient for visit to National Horseracing Museum. Reasonable prices.

Stayed over Xmas 2024, room very Comfortable, and clean. Staff very friendly and professional. Would stay again.

2 rooms booked. First room was very small. Poor sealant round the bath, broken hook in bathroom, peeling wallpaper and no modern facilities, ie. USB ports. Second room, black mould all around window.

We booked in to stay while attending an event nearby, and the location was perfect to get to and from it easily. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally attentive and good-humoured, which made us feel really welcomed. It was an easy check-in, helped by the fact that you can do some of it online. The place was a bit of a maze of corridors when you went up to find your room, which took a bit of getting used to when it came to navigating. One area had a rather musty smell in the corridor, but otherwise everything appeared clean. The place does seem to need a little bit of TLC to fix some paint chipping and general aesthetic wear and tear from years of use, but really, most things were inoffensive all being told. Our room was comfortable, spacious and tidy. Like the corridors, a bit worn down, but nothing that can't be quickly fixed up given a moment of consideration. The lighting was rather odd in both the bedroom and bathroom - very dull, particularly with the latter, and could probably use with updating. Onto the positives, the bed for extremely comfortable and we slept really well. The room even had a huge TV as well, which is always a bonus, as we tend to like to put our feet up in the evening. The local area is great for conveniences, with plenty of different shops and restaurants to visit. We ate in the pub below the accommodation, and the food was exceptionally good. Highly recommend!

Great location but the rooms are very dated and dingy. Chipped paint and outdated furnishings. The bedding was soft though, and location great. Far too expensive for the quality of the room.

We had a lovely stay in the White Hart Hotel, the manager that greeted us was lovely, he was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed and during the night he was very accomodating to us, we didnt get his name but he seemed like the manager and had long-ish hair!

1. Music unnecessarily too laud. I understand it's a pub and some degree of noise is expected, but certainly we could have done with a bit of less dBs. Since we couldn't sleep we decided to take turn it into an opportunity and headed down for a drink, but it was impossible to keep a conversation. There was no need to put the DJ so laud. A bit lower and you could have still keep the fun while making it easier to those who wanted to sleep (or have a conversation in the pub) 2. The TV was not smart TV. Nowadays I think this is a must for all hotels. 3. The carpet and furniture in general looked quite old 4. No contactless key. Not even magstripe card. Just a real physical key to access the room! Nowadays all hotels (even the cheapest ones) have contactless technology for the room

Unfortunately had a beer delivery right outside our window at 8am. Other than that another pleasant stay at The White Hart

Property tierd rooms need painting. Blood on sheets in one bed. Would not stay again.. Go to the Premier Inn up the road.
