About this house rental
Welcome to WATERFRONT Lake Buchanan! This home sleeps up to 9 people in beds and has ample space to enjoy friends and family while on vacation. There's a covered screen porch and massive oak and pecan trees providing plenty shade to relax under while enjoying a cool drink. We've got both hammocks and picnic tables for laying or sitting around.
**Please be aware that we continue to experience extreme drought conditions in the area, domestic water use at the house must be kept to a minimum and conserved. The jacuzzi tub as well as any outdoor water use is not allowed until the drought conditions are improved. There is still a great open water view from the house!
There is a master with king bed and private bath that has a jacuzzi tub, 1 room with 2 queen beds, 1 room with a king and a full size futon bed, and a second bathroom/laundry room. The living room, covered screen porch and side porch overlook beautiful wide open views of Lake Buchanan. After a short walk to the water, you'll enjoy the great east facing location on Shaw island with the nearest opposite shore miles away in the distance really giving you that in the middle of the lake on an island experience.
We've got a boat dock with a very large 20x40 covered deck with space to tie off your boat or jet ski's. The boat lift is not for guest use. Enjoy the beach and lake during the day and the large fire pit at night. There is not a better place to enjoy family and friends at the lake. House is equipped with FireTV including YouTube TV, Netflix, DVD and WiFi. The dock is not guaranteed to be usable, depending on lake levels it might not be available.
We are on a very quiet part of the lake (Shaw Isand) which is great for swimming, fishing and boating. No events or parties allowed. The sandy beach in front of the house has a gentle slope which is great for kids and adults to enjoy the water. During most evenings the wind kicks up after the sun sets and there is a great breeze and wave action on the shore that makes you forget you're at a lake and not the ocean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare your own meals, and local grocery and restaurants are within 15 minutes in both Kingsland and Llano.
Looking for more to do? Head up the Colorado river in a boat and catch a glimpse of an eagle during the winter months, or, take advantage of some of the best fishing around. There are also several wineries in the area and don't forget award winning coopers BBQ nearby in Llano.

When I rented this property, I was warned about the lake levels, so that was no surprise. The view was still amazing from the living room windows. We saw beautiful sunrises along with deer feeding. So relaxing. The property could be cleaner and could be updated a bit. The dishwasher smelled bad. We didn't end up using it, but instead washed our dishes by hand. Several other small things that could benefit from some cleaning. However we still had a relaxing wonderful weekend fully stocked kitchen, beds, etc. As I mentioned before the view was wonderful. I can't imagine how spectacular with the lake full.

Arrival was so easy. The place was clean and had a real cozy, homey feel. You're provided with almost everything you need, plus plenty of extras. The property, is gorgeous, so may shade trees, birds, and deer. The lake was a little low but that's no one's fault, so there was plenty of beach. The lake still had plenty of water to swim though, just had to walk a little further to get thereš. The communication with Victoria was always very quickly answered, and she provided many details in her pre-arrival email, so you knew exactly where things were. She also has a vast variety of books for all ages, a real plus. My mom, my sisters, and I had a great time, and I would definitely go backš„°.
