Ruidoso offers opportunities for horseback riding, hiking, fly-fishing, and year-round golf. In the winter months you’ll find snow tubing and skiing at Ruidoso Winter Park. The summer months bring in water activities at Wibit Water Park at Grindstone Lake. Check out the horse races and casino at renowned Ruidoso Downs. Chow down on a delicious breakfast at Log Cabin Restaurant or grab a casual dinner and local brew at Rio Grande Grill and Taproom. The place was very comfortable and the location was ideal. We came across two issues that avoided me from giving it a 5 rating. The check in time was at 4 pm and when we arrived there at 5:02 the cleaning crew was still there and couldn’t check in until around 6 pm. As we were about to grill, there was not enough propane left in the tank and had to go out and purchase one. I made 4 attempts to let management know, to no avail. They made no attempt to respond to the issues. Considering the hefty host fees charged, the least they could do is respond in a timely manner.

We were informed to check in at a certain location, and its a waste of time. They could of just emailed the information. We had to go in twice because the cabin wasn’t ready.
