About this house rental

Éliane & Pierre (owners of a truly unique collection of some thirty vintage tractors, which can be viewed nearby!), who also own a 4000m² private fishing pond 2km away (stocked with carp, pike, tench, etc.), welcome you to a charming, traditional 19th-century Bresse farmhouse, built of brick and timber framing, meticulously restored and nestled in a peaceful rural hamlet that is both residential and agricultural (home to their son's family farm). A magnificent little corner of the countryside, calming and rejuvenating, nestled on the edge of a bucolic, tree-lined pasture where the owners' horses graze. A true haven of peace and tranquility nestled in a charming, unspoiled setting of nature and greenery, combining cultivated fields, verdant hedged meadows, and wild forests (perfect for leisurely walks or bike rides), not far from the heart of the typical village of Simard, a small Bresse market town boasting a majestic brick church with a neo-Romanesque bell tower and a multi-sports pitch. This spacious and very comfortable cottage offers a warm, rustic charm enhanced by the rich traces of its original construction (elegant brick and timber-framed walls, exposed beams, and an imposing brick fireplace). Full of charm and character, it offers the gentle and exotic ambiance of a former residence. Cozy and inviting, it features a lovely, intimate, and meticulously maintained enclosed garden, landscaped with trees and lawn, hidden behind a hedge. A large terrace offers both sun and shade (depending on the weather). Enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Description: Detached house on 2 levels. Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Electric heating + fireplace. Ground floor: living room/kitchen/lounge, 1 bedroom (double bed 160x200cm) with ensuite shower room (shower/WC), shower room, separate WC. First floor: mezzanine lounge, 2 bedrooms (double bed 140x190cm / 2 single beds 90x190cm), separate WC. Enclosed garden (300m²) + private courtyard + terrace. Shops 7.5 km. Supermarket 8 km. Soothing little preserved green setting! Elegant traditional 19th century Bresse farmhouse carefully revisited into a comfortable holiday home, nestled in a quiet area on the edge of meadows, in a small rural, agricultural & residential hamlet, 7.5 km from the charming typical & commercial village of Saint-Germain-du-Bois (very many amenities including supermarket) & 13 km from Louhans, famous capital of Bresse known for its iconic medieval shopping street with "157 arcades" (one of the most remarkable of this type in France and in Europe) as well as for its very famous "Monday market" labeled "Remarkable Site of Taste". In the heart of the Bresse countryside (rich in several natural sites protected in the "Natura 2000 Zone" for their remarkable ecosystems), combining agriculture & nature, between vast plains of fields & hedged meadows dotted with ponds, forests, rivers and mountainous foothills of the nearby Jura massif. Prime location on the route of the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône-et-Loire by bike), next to several marked trails in "green walks" (very large network of hiking trails of the same type to explore on foot or mountain bike in the area), not far from the circuit of Romanesque churches, 7 km from a referenced "Coup de Cœur bike loop" of 35 km, 12 km from the Green Way "Voie Bressane" connected to the Blue Way (along the Saône), 24 km from the Green Way of the "Bresse Jurassienne", 30 km from the GRP of the "Bresse Comtoise" attached to the GR59 (crossing the Bresse Jurassienne & the first foothills of the Revermont dotted with vines), around thirty km from the first vineyards of the Jura & around fifty km from the vineyards of Southern Burgundy (Côtes Mâconnaises & Côtes Chalonnaises) as well as the prestigious vineyards of the Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune of world renown (various wine routes to explore including the "Route des Grands Vins" extended by the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus"). In the heart of Bresse Bourguignonne & its varied landscapes - cradle of the famous AOC of Bresse poultry - at the crossroads of Ain & Jura, at the crossroads of Chalonnais, Bresse du Jura, Mâconnais, Tournugeois-Clunisois (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") as well as Bresse de l'Ain.
