Résidence Le Chamois d'Or

I was really pleased with our choice of Le Chamois D’Or. It is ideally located near the bottom of the magic carpet and Pioneers chair lift and really is ski in/out. The room was spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We even had a balcony overlooking the piste. The room did not have a hairdryer so bring one (like we did) if you need that. Also, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The only negatives were the noise at night, lots of drunk teenagers coming down the ski slope at all hours shouting and screaming. The resort really needs to get on top of this, there is a big late night drinking culture. It’s great to have fun, but not at the cost of others who are trying to sleep. They need to fine people or bars who are disrespectful of others. The lobby and locker room is chaotic on change over day - tons of people hanging around, some sleeping on the floor, waiting for their transport. I don’t think the 10am check out helps with this! Finally, the ski locker room is small and cramped and pretty awful in the morning. There are no boot heaters or any hooks or shelves to hang boots or helmets etc. This means your skis drip water into your boots if you are not careful! Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would come again.

Does the job. Ski in, beds, kitchen and a warm shower. Amazing view.
