Check-in is contactless and you only message with someone via what’s app. Finding the lodge itself isn’t simple for non-residents as it is tucked away. They have an agreement with a neighbouring hotel for parking, but despite registering our vehicle with this hotel, we still managed to get a parking ticket (this problem ended up being resolved quickly by calling the other hotel in question). Overall, Broadway was a beautiful place to visit, and the Lodge itself is kind of cute with little animal themes, but this wasn’t our favourite lodging on this vacation.

Our room at the Lodge was just about ok given the price we paid. At first glance it looked good but we soon became aware the amount of traffic it sees in the form of worn carpet, scratched furniture etc. Worst of all
was the bed. A partially collapsed mattress with rounded edges where hundreds had sat before, and no box spring, this thing should have been thrown out long ago. An additional
annoyance was the disco grade smoke alarm lights. The bright flash every 10 seconds required the use of sleep masks for both of us.
On the positive side, the teas, cookies etc were good and the bathroom excellently appointed with endless hot water at good pressure and fine quality towels.
Overall, however, nothing could make up sufficiently for that awful, awful mattress.
