Molokai is pretty laid back and not highly developed from a tourist standpoint, which is what we were looking for. The condo, which in its pictures looked a bit dated, definitely was when we got there. So no surprise. But we were disappointed a bit by what we encountered. Several missing or not working light bulbs. A ceiling fan in the bedroom that was either on or off, the chain control for how fast is turned wasn't working. Closet and bath doors that were delaminating. The view is delightful and the lanai is nice, but the screen door to get outside is always coming off the track and seems like it is about to fall apart. And the west facing windows (nice ocean view) also mean the sun beats in the unit in the afternoon. There are curtains, but that doesn't stop the heat build up. Some kind of sun shade would be really nice. Particularly in the summer when it would be a bit warmer. There is no AC and with the only light blocked sun the living room gets very warm in the afternoon. So, while the location is nice, it needs a little work. But we enjoyed ourselves anyhow.
