B&B HOTEL Antibes Sophia Le Relais

Nice hotel, very clean and friendly staff. The price was also amazing. We enjoyed our stay.

Clean, small, and simple. Had double bed and was so small that I had trouble walking AROUND the bed. No place to open suitcase except on the bed. Towels were cheap and harsh on skin. Paper cups in bathroom. Had to carry suitcase up to 2nd floor- not sure whether they had an elevator but office staff lady helped me carry it up.

There was scaffolding and Painters outside our window for the three days of our stay.

Comfortable bed, good bathroom and desk. Clean. There are towels, WiFi and air conditioning. The room is small. The breakfast buffet is acceptable. Not all employees speak English but they're kind. The automatic check-in works fine. Not many places to have dinner nearby (only one walking 10 minutes, several walking 30 minutes).

Perfect stay

It was nice, and clean. The shower is very small and a bit cramped and there was a lot of traffic always going past which even with the window closed was still quite loud. The air conditioning was not working so it made sleeping quite difficult with all the traffic.

The pictures on hotels.com do not show the current condition of the hotel! It is not as fresh as it looks on the pictures! I had stayed in another B & B hotel in Marseille which had a much better condition, that's why I chose this hotel for my stay in Nice. There was a hurrible smell in the lobby, although our room didn't smell bad! The front desk personnel = nice & helpful. Toiletries are minimal in the rooms. I don't want to complain, toiletries are cheap in France & we went out & bought our own. There is no elevator. The plus side: cheap stay, free parking, near location to Nice, Cannes & a great shopping center. The negative side: Old building, no elevator & few toiletries.

Typical French hotel, small rooms and basic amenities, but clean. Definitely no frills - no TV, no shampoo, etc. A good place to sleep in Sophia Antipolis area. I liked the usage of access codes, no more room keys or cards!

It was a moderate stay. No big problem at all. No big expectation during a business travel. Only sleeping well. And it was okay for this purpose.

Good short business stay. A great location for Sophia Antipolis near the Tennis Academy.

Small room, very small bathroom (you need to be 12 inches or less in diameter to be able to take a shower) Comfortable beds but since we had 3 beds there was very little space left to move around. Breakfast was not included but we used it and the food was great with good selection. No key required, just a 6 digit code to remember. Also I liked the possibility to do a self check-in which allowed guests to book a room onsite even if there is no staff available. Parking was outside and there was a safe neighborhood as it was facing a day care facility. About 15 km from Nice and less from Cannes. Also there is a Carrefour close by. All other were in driving not walking distance. Overall a nice place if you have a car.

Special mention must go to Laurent and Florence who run the hotel. I was taken ill one evening and the member of staff who was on reception at the time was very helpful in arranging for a doctor. The following morning, Florence helped my friend and I arrange earlier flights home. They could not have been more helpful. Many thanks to you both!

Overall what I expected as facilities, but... I had trouble checking late at 23:30 (no staff) as it was automated machine, which was asking me for my reservation code. The problem was that the Expedia confirmation did not contain this code (just some other Expedia codes), and the code I needed had arrived in a separate message directly from the B&B hotel (in French). It was spammed, and took me about an hour before I could realize that, find it and get to my room. In the meantime, they had an assistance box next to the machine, which I tried using, but it was calling their offices in Paris, and couldnt get through for 40 minutes (connected several times, then the operator told me to hold on and disconnected). Bottom line - the concept of an automated hotel is nice, but they still need a proper customer service.

The hotel is a little bit far from everything but if you have a car it is about a ten minute drive to the beach. There is a Casino supermarket close by . The rooms are small almost like a cruise ship room. The room was clean and had a flat screen TV and the wifi worked well. The staff were friendly and will give you a map of the area if you ask. There is a microwave in the lobby which was great for heating up snacks at night. Breakfast is available for $6 Euros . Parking is free. The only problem we had is that we arrived at 10:00 PM and the self check in machine wouldnt let us check in as we had booked through Hotels.com .The security guy let us into our room and told us that we could check in the next morning. Parc Phoenix is a great way to spend a few hours. It is located across from the airport and costs 3 Euros per person. The parking is separate and costs 2.50 per hour. The park has a musical fountain,parrots, otters, turtles, crocodiles, wallabies, little monkeys , flamingos and more. Totally worth a few hours if you have it.

Disaster - we couldnt get in to our hotel we didnt have the right code ..Rang the central office for help and they cut us off three times - never ever again will I book with hotel.com they didnt explain anything and as a result we were stranded at 23.00 in the middle of nowhere ..
