Lovely boutique hotel in a stunning location

We liked everything about this charming boutique hotel. Stunning location, spotlessly clean rooms, convenient parking, nice pool areas, good breakfast. But what stood out the most was the kindness of the people working there. They have thought of every possible detail to make your stay more comfortable, and they were especially accommodating to our little daughter, who was disappointed to leave. Will definitely return for a longer stay in the future.

Lovely property with fantastic views over the lake. Food was great and there is a lovely little bar area (with sofas) and live music several times a week. Leisure facilities are very good - beautiful outdoor pool and indoor spa facilities. It was difficult to find someone to serve at the bar (particularly during the evenings as the staff were all assigned in the restaurant). Rooms were OK but basic and the beds were very uncomfortable (with 2 single beds pushed together for a double). But very spacious balconies with views. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. if if we’re not for the discomfort of the beds, we would return.

The staff service was impeccable. Location was ok and only a short walk to the lakeside.

The cost of the room was expensive and the pool was small for the number of guests. The view from the room was lovely but hindered by the buildings in front.

Great place for short stay.

Breakfast and Dinner were great. Dinner was a bit expensive but delicious. Breakfast was delicious and one can order to the room. Fantastic to eat with lake view.

The room was not very nice to the eye. Old uncomfortable sofa. Bad lighting and alcohol free mini bar. No AC but ceiling fan instead. Not bad but not amazing as well. Not a place you want to spend much time. Balcony very large and beautiful views.

Electric toilet seat kept opening every time you walk in bathroom, even if not near to it, then had to hear a loud peeping noise when it shuts automatically again, annoying at night. No hot water at night.

A little bit of a hidden gem, a smallish hotel which we enjoyed. What we appreciated especially is the large size room with a large size balcony, comfortable for 3 people too. We enjoyed lounging in the sun by the pool, and were happy to discover that there was an indoor pool for when it rained. The hotel also has its own swimming platform on the lake. There is currently no breakfast buffet but I loved the way they have solved this by offering a number of breakfast menus each including bread basket, fruit or smoothie, fried/scrambled/boiled egg etc, cold cuts or pancake… once it was all on the table it looked as if you had been to a buffet. Everyone was very friendly.

Very old hotel which lacks cleanliness

Unpleasant smell in the lobby area, very old facilities (I’d say the hotel needs a refurbishment already since 10 years), dirty and old couch in the room, cherry on the cake: dirty bed sheets with plenty of hair in it (we of course asked the staff to change it, which they gladly did, but it didn’t help to erase the feeling that the whole room was filthy). We tried to go to a different hotel but unfortunately, everything was fully booked, otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed there and I strongly discourage you from going there.

Ich glaube kaum, dass wir nochmals dorthin fahren.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und wir hatten eine schöne Aussicht auf den See. Das war sicher die 4 Sterne wert. Sonst finde ich das Hotel eher lieblos gehalten und eher 3 Sterne wert. Vor allem wenn mann vom Erdgeschoss nach unten geht, hatte ich das Gefühl, die Vier Sterne definitiv zu verlassen. Das Untergeschoss ist eher ein weiss gestrichener Kellerbereich. Ich erreichte die Tiefgarage. Dort war offensichtlich nach dem Rohbau fertig. Ich habe 25 Jahre im Immobilienbereich gearbeitet und war verantwortlich für die Liegenschaften. So etwas hätte ich nie akzeptieret und sofort entsprechende Massnahmen zur Verbesserung eingeleitet. Das Frühstück war ein Mix zwischen Selbstbedienung und Bestellen. Vermutlich liegt es an mir, aber ich brauche 3 Tage, bis ich das richtige bestellt habe. Das Nachtessen im Hotel ist normal aber auch nicht speziell.

Hotel Sunstar - sehr geeignet für einen erholsamen Urlaub.

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Lago Maggiore und zu einer Bushaltestelle. Im Hotelpreis ist die Ticino Card enthalten, so dass man gut mit Bus und Bahn innerhalb des Tessins unterwegs sein kann. Ebenfalls im Preis enthalten ist die tägliche Auffüllung der Minibar mit alkoholfreien Getränken sowie die Zurverfügungstellung von Kaffeekapseln.

Prima hotel nabij het meer

De ruime kamer met balkon voorzien van ligbedden en stoeltjes.

Weinig ligbedden bij het zwembad die ook nog eens bezet gehouden werden door 1 familie. Gelukkig was er een alternatief, een plateau met 4 ligbedden aan het water waar echter geen service was. Ook werd er met drones gevlogen, zeer irritant. Ondanks de dure kamer binnen parkeren tegen betaling.

Sensationell...auch sehr schön mit der Seepromenade und das Schwimmen im See mit dem guten Zugang

Sensationelles Frühstück mit Service (wir hassen Buffets SB)....deshalb sehr schön und luxury mit Bedienung. Nur Brot und Getränke hat mann/frau sich selber geholt.

E-Ladestation wurde abgebucht aber der Strom war nach 5^Minuten abgeschaltet. Zu kompliziert mit verschiedenen Kartenanbietern. Wir hätten lieber eine funktionierende Karte von der Reception und dann verrechnet...haben nach mehrmaligem Versuch nicht mehr im Hotel geladen.
