Goodwin House was an excellent place to stay with convenient access to many beautiful walking trails and situated in the quaint town of Keswick. Liz and Chris are extremely kind and hospitable, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Liz & Chris both welcomed me upon arrival. The guest house is conveniently located in the town centre and is in a quiet residential area (I couldn't believe how quiet it was, given the location). My room was well suited for my two night stay, with a small and modern looking en-suite shower room. The guest house provided a drying room for any wet clothing and muddy boots.
Liz was very knowledgeable about the area and provided me with useful tips for getting around the town and down to Derwent Water.
On offer for breakfast were cereals or porridge, but I opted for the full English which you can select from a menu the night before. Cooked to perfection!! In addition, I took the packed lunch that was on offer, useful for my days' walking. This was charged extra and even included a slice of homemade cake (delicious!!)
I would stay here again if returning to Keswick and I highly recommend the guest house. Liz and Chris being perfect hosts.
