Little loud with kids that were in a hockey tournament. But after 10pm it was quiet

I understand the property is under renovation, however there was not an ice maker on our floor. There was nobody at the front desk when checking in at 4:45 pm. We waited 15 minutes and decided to have dinner and come back for check-in.
