Hotel Porto Sol Beach

I stayed here on business and, unfortunately, the hotel was a let-down in almost every way. While the rooms are spacious, they’re poorly maintained and clearly in need of serious investment. At best, this feels like a 2-star property: no quilts, just thin blankets; hard, uncomfortable mattresses; a tiny TV; and a token packet of shower gel. The lack of a laundry service—or even a simple arrangement with a local provider—really highlights a corner-cutting mentality. It’s a shame, because the staff were polite and the beachfront setting is superb. With some basic refurbishment and attention to detail, it could reach 3–4 star level purely thanks to its location. As it stands, however, it feels cheap, neglected, and far better suited to school trips or large youth groups than to business travellers or holidaymakers expecting comfort.
