About this villa rental
Villa Cycas between the Mediterranean and Corbières is a relaxation area with private heated swimming pool (from the end of April to mid-October) and beautiful landscaped outdoor areas a few minutes from the beaches of Leucate / La Franqui / La Palme.
The site is surrounded by large natural spaces (Natura 2000) on the sea side and on the mountain side (Corbières and Pyrenees). The Villa is surrounded by many tourist sites in the Aude, the Pyrénées-Orientales or in Spain (Costa Brava / Catalonia / Barcelona). The African reserve of Sigean is 10 minutes away.

Spacious private solarium out of sight upstairs, direct access from the second bathroom (2 deckchairs available on the solarium level). Small sea view from the solarium.

Heated swimming pool from the end of April to mid-October, comfortable for swimming in mid-season. The entrance to the water is via a wide staircase with a first one in the form of a submerged beach.
Large landscaped garden with several terraces and several relaxation areas arranged around the pool and up to the bottom of the garden. (6 deckchairs around the pool).
The garden is planted with many Mediterranean and tropical plants.
Electric awning on the large terrace and dining area.
Garden furniture on the second terrace at the level of the master suite.
Pétanque and a small sea view:

Petanque enthusiasts will have a private 12m long field with a view of the Mediterranean coast. A small low voltage power line passes over the petanque area.
Bedding: Sheets and pillowcases provided in laundry packaging.

New villa BBC standard, very well insulated from hot and cold, the villa is equipped with a high-performance reversible ducted air conditioning (T°C instruction adjustable to the degree zone by zone).
Heated swimming pool (End of April to Mid-October) also allowing swimming in mid-season.
In a recent small residential development 8 minutes from Leucate on the heights of La Palme.
Access to the Leucate motorway exit.
Several large sandy beaches a few minutes away: See on the "Tourisme-Leucate" website the Webcam "Plage des Coussoules", this beach extends over nearly 10km between Leucate and La Palme).
The surroundings are rich in sports, water, nature and cultural activities accessible a few minutes from the villa.

A modern, well-equipped house with everything needed for longer stays. The kitchen is ideal while the comfortable lounge/TV/dining area benefits from large windows overlooking the garden and pool, which is attractively lit at night.We used the downstairs bedroom- spacious, very comfy beds, a large ensuite shower room and direct garden access. Hot water/pressure were excellent, the air con was efficient and quiet. It broke down twice, Hervé responded promptly to this and a couple of other minor issues, always helpful, polite and readily available via WhatsApp. The garden- beautifully maintained, an impressive variety of trees and flowers, a pétanque court, seating areas. Ants were present, as noted, but normal for the climate and easily managed. The pool-an excellent size and temperature, note: deeper steps can be difficult to see. A child alarm is available.The property is safe/secure/alarmed. Ideally located for beaches just 10 minutes drive and for exploring nearby cities. The advertised sea view is only to local lakes, great to see flamingos and kite surfers but not for swimming.La Palme- a charming historic village but sleepy in June, with limited dining and no bars.Minor suggestions only: USB sockets would be a bonus, a pool cleaning robot could help with leaves etc, the bedding pack could include 2 pillowcases. Worth noting is a large electricity pylon & overhead lines cross the garden, which do not appear in photos, may not suit all guests & noisy in wind.

Hervé was an excellent host, organised and very good communication. Property had everything we needed equipment wise, plus pool, good WiFi and air con. We had a lovely family break (4 people).

We stayed 10 days in the really beautiful and clean villa with a wonderful outdoor area with a pool.
The communication with the landlord Herve was very easy and uncomplicated.
The beaches can be reached by car in a few minutes.
