La Kukula Lodge

We loved our stay here. We had two rooms for 8 nights. So close to the beach but surrounded by jungle. Some wonderful close spots to eat within walking distance. We had a lovely breakfast every morning and our rooms were tidied daily with fresh towels. Town and the parks were so close. Perfect location. Favorite part was waking up to the howling monkeys every morning

The best room we’ve ever stayed in.

We enjoyed our stay here! The beach was within an easy, short walking distance and very beautiful! The rip current can be very strong, so we found a nice, mostly calm pocket of water between reefs, down the beach, to swim in for a couple of days-- really pleasant! Plus, they gave us beach towels at the desk. The staff were friendly, helpful and someone was always available. They provided dry towels everyday, since nothing dries for days. The rooms have a lot of screens so the sounds of the jungle come in, including howler monkeys! You can hear your neighbors as well as the rainforest, but the other guests were usually fairly quiet by 9 pm.

This place was hands down the best place we stayed on our 2-week trip in costa rica! The rooms, hospitality, ambiance, and wildlife were all outstanding! I would highly recommend this place!
