Very helpful staff and nice hotel in a close and quiet location to the downtown center core. Room was clean. We were able to hold our bags at the hotel for a few days while gone trekking and came back to receive them with no problems.The only issue was the shower would not drain , but otherwise great overall.

We had a great stay here. Located less than 1/2 mile from the Plaza de Armas. Comfortable with good amenities, helpful and friendly staff. We had two reservations bookending a trip to Machu Picchu and they were thoughtful enough to keep the same room for us on return, which simplified their already free luggage storage service.

If you need to go out early before the breakfast time, you can preorder the breakfast the night before.

We stayed at Tambo del Arriero Hotel twice, before and after our Inca Trail. They let us keep our baggage in the room when we checked out and left it there for when we re-checked in again and it was like we were going home again. Not sure if that was because they weren't fully booked but they managed to leave our bags just as we left them.
Loved the service of the place. Would go again in a heartbeat.
