Disappointed with the hotel. Looks nice from the photos and from outside. Hotel staff is polite and helpful, however the hotel room is poorly maintained and not well maintained. Housekeeping also doesn’t seem complete, with no vanity items(eg cotton pads) at all, and water is also provided only on first day despite staying for 4 nights. Window catch is also spoilt so the window cannot be totally sealed. Also, the hotel said that 10% discount will be provided to hotel guests who dine at their restaurant (called Veneto Restaurant). When we dined there, we had made reservations beforehand and though the service seem Pleasant and friendly, no discount was given. We asked once while Paying the bill and were told that discount was already given. However we were not given a proper receipt, only had the total Amount on the receipt with no breakdown. When we asked a second time, for the actual receipt with the items we ordered (instead of just a one-liner total), the waitress told us that she has thrown the receipt away and is not able to generate a copy for us. She asked us why we needed it and we thick-skinnedly explained again that we thought no discount was given to us. Again, the same waitress assured us discount was already given. We paid the amount as charged anyway but computed the bill on our own and realised that we were not given the discount, despite us asking twice and the restaurant confirming twice that they already did.

Highly recommending VENETO hotel. Beautiful high quality furnishing and Charm of Old Town.Stuff was very helpful and always eager to help. Service great and entire experience very positive. Located in the old town in Rethymno . The buffet breakfast was very good- several selections. Staff very friendly, helpful. A lovely hotel in an old monastery building, in a great location at the heart of the city. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a room in the centre of Rethymnon.

What a wonderful property. If I come back I will make it my base to travel from. The alleys are vibrant and full of restaurants and is in the heart of the action. The restaurant is amazing as well. The hotel is adorable and a great boutique hotel. Lots of character and charm. Staff were amazing.. I give it 10 out of 5. 4 hotels so far and 2 great and 2 not great. This was a great spot.

Beautiful little hotel. Large well appointed rooms with cute view of the courtyard and fortress. Only wish we had a few extra pillows. I’m sure they would have given us sp but we were only here for 1 night. Wish I could have stayed longer and explored the town more or enjoyed the wine tasting here.

The staff was truly amazing-Elena at the front desk, Spyros at dinner and the entire crew made us feel special. They helped us up the stairs with our luggage and made a special table for us at dinner under the bougainvillea tree. The dinner was amazing, one of the best we've had in Greece. The early morning taxi to the airport with Theodore was punctual and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again when in Rethymno!

Superb stay at Veneto. Arrived early and asked for room with outdoor patio which was quickly taken care of. Room was gorgeous as is entire hotel. Anastasia at the front desk is a gem and helped me with customs shipping label to send package to US, laundry service and many other things. Restaurant was closed due to off-season but was able to get a bottle of wine as they have wine selections available and even wine tasting during peak season. Room was gorgeous and spacious (rm 104), mini fridge, wine glasses, bottled water, silverware etc. Shower was hot with rainfall shower and the bed was so comfortable with high quality linens. Heaters worked wonderful as it was chilly and raining. Great location, short walk to restaurants, square or waterfront. Cars cannot get directly to hotel so you will need to walk @ 200 meters. Best place for taxi is north on the Main Street as more room for taxi to park and load/unload. Walk is not bad and luggage with wheels travel easy on the cobblestone. Will definitely return to Veneto in the future and highly recommend.

First of all…the hotel is beautiful-ti-fuuul! Second of all, it is very conveniently located to so many dining and shopping options! But the staff made it over the top…they were kind, caring, and went over and beyond to accommodate any need necessary…from something as simple as an iron, calling for a taxi, up to watching over a friend that was just not ready to return to her room after many drinks and making sure she got back to her room safely. The only one thing that I will advise, is the photos of the room upon reservation may not be the same room you will get. There are many different room styles, but with that said, they are all different but nice!! I will absolutely stay here my next trip back to Rethymno!!

What a gem! We were four people in a two-room apartment that overlooked a lovely courtyard. The staff was warm and friendly. After finding out that I had not seen my sister for nearly two years, they arranged for us to have a premium dining experience shortly after our arrival. The apartment was light and airy with two balconies. The french doors brought in some wonderful smells of seafood and ocean breezes. The city, itself, is gorgeous. We enjoyed walking the cobbled streets, stopping in a few shops, and stopping for a few cocktails along the way. Between Rethmyno and Chania, I think I just slightly prefer Rethmyno. Its old town is similar, but smaller than Chania's. The old castle area and cliftside restaurants of Rethymnon just make it slightly more beautiful, to me.

We loved our three nights at the charming Veneto Hotel, well situated in walkable Rethymno. Each room throughout the hotel is unique, and authentically appointed in antique Cretan style. The bed was extremely comfortable with luxurious linens. Breakfast was delicious and ample. We found all the staff to be friendly, informative and helpful. We highly recommend it!

Beautiful hotel. The restaurant wasn't open for dinner, but it's the off season and there were other restaurants in the area. The staff did a good job cleaning my room but never replenished the coffee. They also forgot the complimentary sparkling wine until I reminded them of it. I didn't realize there were a couple of flights of stairs to get to my room, and there was no elevator, and I'm getting older. It was a minor chore to do the climbing. But I probably needed the exercise, so I won't complain about that. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

A great Boutique hotel in the centre of the old town, as soon as you step out the door you're met by restaurants and shops. The staff were great and very accommodating going the extra mile to ensure your stay was perfect. The hotel is not for sunbathers unless you want to walk to the local beach but for visitors wanting to experience the old town this is a perfect setting. I will be staying here again if back in the area, cannot fault this great hotel.
