Host Lorenzo and his parents were fantastic: Friendly, helpful and pleasant. They put on an amazing breakfast every morning and helped us with things to see and do in the area. Property had great character and is in a great location. Town was charming. Our room was clean, large and rustic.

Lovely property, our suite was huge and very comfortable. Great breakfast with lots of options! Our very helpful host Lorenzo organised travel to a nearby village and a cooking class which was great fun. Would be lovely to return in warmer months to use the pool. The garden has amazing views of thr Tuscan countryside.

My husband and I stayed at this property in San Casciano for 5 days to avoid the big crowds in Florence. We fell in love with the quiet town and staying at Villa el Fedino. Lorenzo and his mom Alessandra made us feel like part of their family. They were so sweet and helpful and would recommend great restaurants to go eat as well as wineries to tour. My husband and I rented a car which was so convenient from San Casciano to go visit Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano and other beautiful surrounding Chianti region small towns close by. Also the breakfast was amazing and the spectacular views from our room. We had an amazing time. We plan on coming back and reliving that whole week again.

We loved our stay at Villa Il Fedino. A beautiful property in a perfect location with easy access to Chianti and its towns and wineries. The service was over-the-top outstanding, with each family member and staff member being so unbelievably kind and friendly. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. And the team went out of their way to help us make same-day reservations for tastings and dinner. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful, authentic Old Villa providing upper class experience. Conveniently located very close to the San Casciano in Val di Pesa, just 40 minutes drive from Florence in the beautiful Chianti region. The host was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is both tasty and generous. Highly recommended!!

The staff and level of service were amazing. The breakfast was beyond my expectations, really exceptional. They helped us make reservations a few times for dinner at the local restaurants and offered great advice on local places to eat. We also needed a ride to the Florence airport, and the owner drove us directly, which saved us a lot of headaches trying to figure out the bus schedule. I will highly recommend this hotel to others.

Treat yourself to a 700 year old estate that has been in the same family for the last 5 generations. Alessandra and her husband live here. They are absolutely wonderful and charming and made us feel at home. They staff was there for a great nome cooked breakfast taken with a breathtaking view. The rooms are palatial in the true sense of the word, very clean and very comfortable. The surrounding town is charming and the food there fantastic. My wife and I will find reason to return.

A wonderful hsitorical villa with beautiful views. The food is great, and the owners are the most hospitable people on planet earth. Location is brilliant, and I cannot recommend Il Fedino higly enough.

The villa was located walking distance from the City Center where you could shop, eat, etc. the owners were very. Ice and so accommodating. Breakfast was served each morning on the terrace overlooking the countryside, with excellent coffee, an abundance of fresh pastries, eggs made to order, fresh juice and antipasti. My room was huge with a king size bed, windows that open and overlook the courtyard. Overall, great experience! Its not a 4-star resort but very quaint, comfortable, clean and affordable!

I truly hope my review will help you not to be deceived with the photos of Villa Il Fedino so you do not spoil your stay in Tuscany like we did.Nothing you see on the photos is like it in reality. Pool looks gorgeous on the website, but it is basic ground pool that no one uses as you need to climb up and then go down in water. There are no hammocks, no chairs overlooking Chianti as right below is a noisy road and you do not get a feeling you are in the nature. Breakfast is the worst ever, they serve one plate of very old tomato and melon, sometimes few pieces of ham for two people. There is not small goods board so you can choose at least few options. Room as dungy, musty, smelly and dark. It was really depressing spending 4 days there and that was the worst part of our stay in Italy. After this place we went to Fonte di Medici and for the same price we experienced truly small boutique hotel in the most beautiful nature settings, great service, fantastic pool and even better breakfast. Vila Il Fedino is decayed heavily, service is poor, it is hard to communicate in English, but worst of all they intentionally deceived you with photos that are nowhere near close to reality. I hope you will not waste not only your money but also valuable days of your holiday on this place. I am attaching real photos so you can see the pool, noisy road underneath, ripped and dirty upholstery, tiny 0.3m2 shower cabin, wrinkled tomato for breakfast etc. See and judge for yourself

With the great service provided by Alessandra and the rest of the staff, you´ll feel this place like home. Although San Casciano is a little bit far away from the other little towns in Tuscany, if you have a car (which I highly recommend) it won´t matter. Rooms are clean and comfortable, except for the little bath, but that´s very common in all Europe Hotels. Breakfast was good to begging the day (fruit, bread, yogurt, coffee) and views are great. Alessandra provided very good recommendations for our daily itinerary and helped us with everything. Perfect service!

We arrived late, about 10:15 PM, but were still greeted warmly by the owner and shown to our room. Breakfast was great every day and we had many wonderful conversations with the owner. we felt at home, taken care of, and had many adventures! Thank you staff at Il Fedino! We will be back.

Wonderful villa. friendly staff who made us feel at home. The grounds of the villa are amazing, relaxing in the hammock with a glass(bottle) of local chianti red bought from reception was pure bliss. The town is very close to the villa with wonderful restaurants, bars, and cafes. There is a regular bus service into Florence which takes around 30 mins and is only 3 euro each way. You can book tours to local vineyard or the local fashion outlet so there is no shortage of things to do, we were happy to chill out in the town and in the villa grounds. The only downside was the wi-fi which was very very slow, this was an issue when we were trying to book our excursions in Florence. We took a taxi from outside Florence station it cost 70 euro, more than we were quoted by the hotel, we did wonder if the taxi driver was getting his hand in, that said we were quote 120 euro each way for a private transfer, unfortunately the hotel doesn't offer a transfer service.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa il Fedino, which is a beautiful, historic property set in the lush Chianti region. Our rooms were large and full of character, with the large solid wood doors, shutters, and wonderful ceilings. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean & comfortable, with good hot water. The complimentary breakfast was much more substantial than a typical continental breakfast & a nice touch. However, our hostess Alessandra was the main reason that we will have such wonderful memories of our stay. She was so welcoming and helpful with recommendations for restaurants, suggestions for day trips, etc. She is the heart and soul of the villa, which has been in her family for generations. We look forward to returning. Arrivederci Alessandra!

The Villa is on the edge of a small town which means it gets the best of both worlds. The views of the Chianti Hill, but at the same times local restaurants are just 5 minutes walk away. Allisandra and Cosimo are extremly helpful and nothing is is too much effort for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Friendly, helpful, hospitable would sum up the owners. The hotel is beautiful and has the unique charm that the pictures on the website suggest. The grounds, breakfast, pool and rooms are eveything that they say on the tin. The local village is small, but has eveything you need. The number of restuarants to choose from is a little limited, so if you stayed for a long time you may find you need to travel further afield to get some variety, but the restuarants available are lovely and have great food. The location to both Florence and Siena is brilliant, and the Chianti hills are all around for easy access. The only thing against the hotel for us, and this may have been our expectations rather than the details given on the website, but I had envisgaged the hotel to be more 'remote and rusticly located'. The hotel is just on the edge of the village it is in with a road running under the garden, but don't let this put you off, you can only hear the road when you are sat at the edge of the villa's grounds, and the advantage is that you can walk to the local amentities, and the views are still wide and unspoilt.
