Had a two night stay at the Gillieru hotel. The room was very spacious. Best feature was that it had a large corner terrace facing both the beautiful seaview of St. Paul's Islands and the historic chapel situated infront if the hotel. B'fast and other facilties were good too. Will surely recommend

Used this hotel 3 times now for month-long stays in Malta. Previously used other hotels nearby over the years but the Gillieru Harbour Hotel is much more bang-for-your-buck. Think "four star hotel for three star prices". When this is off peak, the prices become a lot more attractive. Only one (very minor) negative for the most recent trip: the room assigned was tiny. Given that I stay here for a month at a time, and regularly, I 'politely asked' for a change and was given a better room. Also, because this time it was booked through Agoda (previously from other platforms), I was told there would be a €3/night charge for the room safe. That was odd / unexpected because I didn't have to pay that on two separate previous visits. Morel of the story: check the small print on inclusions & exclusions (if you can find it!)

Great buffet breakfast. All good except noise issue. These somewhat hollow buildings pick up elevator/ lift noises. We changed rooms but encountered the refill boiler mechanisims churning away most of the night.
Shame as hotel was nicely set up with coffee lounge and restaurant.
They won't really be perturbed at our input...

Unfortunately there was work taking place when I visited. Lego of vegan options and the obvious cross contamination made it difficult for me to eat breakfast as a vegan.
Room was comfortable, water was hot but did not like the wet room style bathroom. Unfortunately couldn't get the TV to work as a smart TV due to it not being connected to the internet and the remote not having the functionality to adjust the settings.
Staff were so very friendly and are a real credit to the hotel.
