We stayed in room 221, a large corner room which had lovely views to two sides. Breakfast fantastic. Hotel is ideal for the Hurtigruten ship and also the Arctic Route Bus.

The shower did not always have hot water. The staff told us a trick to try, but we could not improve the situation. The next staff member we spoke to offered to move us to a different room. I feel most of the staff were very helpful.

Good hotel with free parking lot right in front of hotel. It is enjoyable to have breakfast outside under the sun viewing the bay. The only thing not good is that the hotel doesn't have elevators—we had to carry two big luggage cases upstairs through stairs

Many rooms are outside the parking lot like a motel & the area is an industrial park. We could hear people talking outside & through the air vents. The bathroom had hair & dried boogers in the shower, the bed had 2 overlapping sheets as the mattress cover, no outlets by the bed, no desk, no space for towels in the bathroom, no drinking glasses, and poor water pressure. It was so much lower quality than other Scandic hotels. A 100m away is a brand new Thon Hotel for the same cost. Wish I had known that. This Scandic should be your last resort! The staff were friendly though and the breakfast was acceptable.

All staff we talked to were friendly and professional. The hotel is along side the wharf- near warehouses and large got industry. An odd location when driving in. Easy to walk to central plaza and restaurants. A basic, no frills hotel that is clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent.

Front desk gives the best service possible, are very friendly, helpful and nice! But what happened to housekeeping? We stayed 3 nights. After the first the room was properly cleaned. Day 2 somebody came in to take 1 of 2 towels, no replacement, didn't make the bed, didn't "clean", but opened the window. Strange, I don't understand! And Scandic; a "summer hotel" like this Motel is a great idea, but why not preserve the "Scandic standard"? Had a "motel" room, entrance from the outside. That is fine, specially since there is no elevator to floor 2 or 3! But the rooms are SO small, here is no room more than 1 person to move around! There is no place for the suitcase, except on the floor - one has to climb through the suitcases in order to get around the bed to the bathroom! Imagen when 2 pers. have to share this room, there is no space for 2 suitcases opened at the same time. A couple of hooks on the wall would be of great help, instead of the two nails sitting there for "room service" signs. If you are a camper looking for a comfortable bed indoors and a private bathroom, this might be for you. I'm sorry but I can't recommend Scandic Vestfjord Lofoten for anyone else. Breakfast is nice but the 1 and only girl working can't keep up. The scramble eggs are soon gone and not replaces. If you are lucky there might be a fried egg left. No more will come. Coffee maker remained broken, had to go to the reception, also for tea water. For NOK 1766 I expect more, even at Lofoten.

First floor rooms overlooking the parking lot without privacy, very small, left a tag to redo the room, we were out all day on our return they had not redone. Room we had to wait 40 minutes to have at least dry towels to take a shower

We were disappointed when realized that breakfast was not open before 8 and we had to leave before that. We picked up our belongings and checked out. At the reception, the front desk staff handed over us 02 bags of foods so we can have breakfast while continue our roadtrip. The way he handled situation was really good and we highly appreciate that.

We stayed for a quick overnight before heading off for a sailing trip. Scandic Vestfjord was the perfect layover. Although, not filled with amenities, the hotel has everything needed for a great night rest. Rooms have ample space.

Excellent location right on a pier downtown. Windows open facing the water, getting an nice breeze. The rooms are large and have black-out blinds. Lots of on-site parking. There is an excellent breakfast in the morning, bring your appetite.

We stayed 2 nights as our base while exploring the full length of the Lofoten islands. The hotel was fine for a short stay as a couple. Free parking (with lots of spots) is a major plus, as is the large breakfast spread. It is a short walk to the center of town. The Hurtigruten boats dock alongside the hotel and it is kind of neat to see them come and go.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Svolvaer! Perfect location close to everything. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Only minor negative note: - the room was a bit too small, just enough for sleeping without even a table to put staff on it and a little bit bigger bed would have been perfect. - room service was a bit disappointing. They have a really late time when they come to clean in 5e second floor and, because of that, for 3 days, coming back after lunch, I wasn’t able to have my room clean again and I had to come down and ask a new set of towels. Apart from that...all good! Extra point: the breakfast was huge!!!

I arrive in Svolvaer at 9pm on the Hurtigruten and just needed a place to crash for the night, and Vestfjord Hotell fits the bill. It was one of the cheapest hotel around, and located very near the Hurtigruten terminal. Value for money for the price, especially given that breakfast is provided.

Location so beautiful ! You feel like sailing over the sea !! Good breakfast ! Very calm and confortable . The receptionist was not nice , we stayed two nights and they didn't tided the room , they didn't clean and they didn't change the towels , I had to go to the reception in order to get clean towels . I told the receptionist and she didn't do anything . I needed to wash a pullover, I went to the reception and I asked where was the washing machine and they were very unpolite to show it ! I could say the hotel is very nice but the reception very unpolite !!

The staff were exceptionally helpful and the breakfast was really good. You have a view of the water and the location is convenient to the Hurtigruten and Bodø ferry boats. The room was pretty basic, but clean and with a solid bathroom and great hot shower. There are nicer places to stay in Svolvaer but this hotel is a really good value.
