Everything was just perfect. The staff was friendly, very accomodating. The property was always kept clean. The breakfast variety was great, we had many choices to pick. The only down is that no basic toiletry was in the room, we needed to go and get shampoo and body wash. Other than that everything was great. Will recomend this hotel

The shower had black mold and the bed was hard as a rock. The silver lining was they had a really great breakfast with a lot of variety. Location was far from the city center but it's across the street from the metro #4 line so you can get into the heart of the city in 10-15 minutes. There aren't many restaurants or bars within walking distance.

I then checked the rooms cleanliness (because the smell put me off!) There were dead bugs under the bed, the floor had not been mopped or swept (it was tiled - so an easy task). The bathroom sink was missing the plug / silver piece that sits within the drain, and there was hair in the pipes which I could see! (I feel sick remembering it!) I asked the staff to get the room cleaned to a better standard or change the room. They said they will clean it. Which they didnt (when I returned later that day). I was here for 2 nights, didnt get any good service, the staff were rude and unhelpful. I had to ask for the room to be cleaned again, specifically the floor (even left a note in Italian and English to the cleaner) until it was cleaned. This hotel made my experience of a beautiful city much less enjoyable - highly advise to pick a great hotel so you can enjoy your experience whilst traveling.

The Staff were great and helpful. The room was clean and pretty suitable for single use. The breakfast was also good and completed by choosing a favorite kind of coffee varieties. The hotel is few meters from tram station so it is easy to go everywhere in city using this cheap transportation. Also, there is a gym and sauna so you can relax after a day full of tiredness.

Hotel Cairo is a value for money hotel about 15 minutes by tram from the Torino City centre, close to Eataly and a huge shopping centre. The staff are great and the hotel is very clean, though showing some signs of its age in the areas that are yet to be refurbished. The room had everything we needed for our stay but it was very small - this may be an issue if you are travelling with lots of luggage. We booked one of the less expensive rooms so others in the hotel may be better. We were there in August and there was very few restaurants open in the area at that time.

I'm a single traveler, stayed there for 3 nights, staff was sunny and with good english. Room was always clean and had wallpaper made of fine textile. A big bed occupied most floor area, as usual (hotel rooms are small in Italy). HVAC was quite powerful. Bathroom was clean, but extremely small sized as usual in Italy. I have thin build, it was OK for me, but this may pose a problem for 6ft+ tall or full-sized americans. Shower head grew out of the wall and was totally fixed in place, which is inconvenient if you have to care for a recent wound, etc. The tramline no.4 which connects this hotel to city center runs frequently, but slowly during workday hours, due to many red traffic lights. During night it runs quickly, but very seldom (15-25 mins frequency). One week or 3 days of all-Turin public transport ticket costs suprisingly little even for my shallow pocket. Hotel Cairo's large -1 floor level hall offers only breakfast from 7-10am, which is a waste of resources IMHO. They should offer some kind of a soup-kitchen for evening , as the nearest recommendable trattoria is 2 tram stops from hotel and nearest kebab-pizzeria is 1 tram stop. If you stay out late in Turin city center to eat at the end of your sightseeing, expect long wait for the tram no.4 and the areas around Porta Nuova railway station are not very secure (so called multi-ethnic). I think Hotel Cairo should team with a nearby restaurant to offer in-house supper, even if with limited menu selection.
