Lovely hotel in the centre of Svolvær, a great base to explore Lofoten. The hotel was very busy with lots of coach parties but it was quiet and comfortable. Take a room with a view over the square and harbour with a great view of the mountains.

Wonderful hotel right on the harbor with an incredible mountain view. And that breakfast is fantastic--huge breakfast buffet with something for everyone! Would highly recommend. And it's centrally located and walkable to restaurants and attractions--many tours pick up right in front. Loved it!

Basically i am Diamond and Platinum member of different hotel groups and couldn´t find a hotel of that group nearby. Therefore i booked a family room with my family at Thon Hotel Lofoten. What should I say. It is my second time in Svolvaer. Compared to the Hotel "Scandic" this hotel was a great experience. Especially the breakfast variety was one of the best and greatest i ever had.

We booked a Twin Room and they upgraded us to a suite with 2 bedrooms, a living room and small kitchen in the new wing. Everything is nice about the rooms, we chilled by the living room every night with TV casting possible from your own devices. Breakfast spread is very good as well. It's supposed to be the best place for weekend brunch according to the taxi drivers. Location wise is convenient, the pier area just next door and walkable to a supermarket nearby. Will definitely stay here again if revisiting.

Convenient and short walk from Hurtigruten and Havila terminals. Nice rooms with excellent shower pressure and temperature. Excellent service - Staff was very helpful with changing of room and luggage. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection, the best I had so far. Will be back again.

The hotel was in a great location for walking along the pier and the staff was very friendly. We ran into two issues. First our room was 339 and it was in a separate building which requires some navigating and also 2 sets of stairs AFTER using the elevator, which was kind of awkward. Then the odor from the garage permeated into the elevator and into our vehicle. There must be some other place to keep the garbage or at least a way to keep the smell down. Other than that we had a great stay and the breakfast buffet was wonderful!!!
