This motel-style place is quite worn and in need of re-furbishment. August- restaurant closed but bar drinks available! Sitting on the terrace was like sitting in a dirty ashtray- smelled terrible. Room was basic but bed was clean. Reception on arrival very helpful. Unfortunately in the morning area smelled of cannabis. Would not stay here again

rooms are in a desperate need of renovation, the air conditioning our room either though turned off made annoying noises so much so i had to get out of bed to seek assistance from the manager who thankfully isolated the unit. we had to be moved from our original room due to the window winders not working. also no cook available so no dining facilities available. the room above was noisy until 4am in the morning. the manager in attendance did his best and was very helpful but only so much he could do on his own.

It is more like motel than hotel, located close to highway. There’s restaurant on the site, it was good. Correct for one night stay when you are traveling.

The rooms were ok but we had planned to eat at the hotel but were told that as a large party were booked in an evening meal was not available. The receptionist was not very helpful in directing us to alternative restaurants. A poor response to our request.

We were quite disappointed with the Valentin. We stopped there year's ago before it was upgraded and we liked it then. The room's are ok but not very comfortable. We travel every year to Italy so we have stopped many times in Campanile hotel's and we hope they do not upgraded them like the one at Besancon. The menu was good with a variety of dishes. The staff were very friendly and courteous.
