On a very hot night it was good to have efficient air conditioning. Usual set out of Campanile Hotels, clean and comfortable and everything you need for a one night stopover. Buffet however is not as good as it used to be, very little on offer.

We arrived really late but someone was at the desk and everything went well for the checkin. The room was good, the hotel is pretty old but it has everything you need for a night or two and a free parking. Around you can very easily shop and eat while leaving the car at the hotel.

Food, both at dinner and breakfast very poor. Steaks were so tough to be almost inn edible and a Lasagna still frozen in the middle and a supposed Bass fillet was either cod or haddock, pleasant enough but not what was advertised or ordered Breakfast was virtually non existent. There had obviously been a rush and by the time we arrived food, plates bowls, coffee had not been replenished, no staff were available to request replacement and generally the waiter service was very poor.

Booked two rooms - one was OK, the other in a poor state and smelly. Receptionist/waiter really helpful, but felt sorry for him with so many hotel problems and such poor food in the restaurant. We do not plan to return.

We arrived on a very hot afternoon and were told that the air conditioning was not working. The room was like an oven all night. Managed to open the window slightly but did not help much. A very uncomfortable night.

Best bed in our whole trip so far. the company says it has improved its beds... well they were truthful. Though the rooms are moderate, and the bath too small in our ground floor room, this was the best value for money in our whole trip round France. The bed and pillows made for a great nights sleep.
